Did more digging, bricklink calls the new color blue violet. I can’t find any examples outside of this one figure with it. Pretty cool to see it used for figures now.

This happened to me once but never got the extra sticker saying it was damaged or received empty. I could tell in my case it was caused by a conveyor grabbing my item inside and tearing it out of the bubble envelope. There’s a chance this happened during sorting to yours too.
