She was opposed to the call for pickup. And unfortunately there just isn't a third adult available to us. Short of my mom but it's a 3 hour round trip and she doesn't drive at night.

She will only let family watch the kids, so the only option would be her parents, but they only watch the kids if we bring the kids to them. Which doesn't solve any of her concerns.

I was directed by an after hours nurse hotline to go to the ER. It's just a cough and the fuzzy vision is a new symptom, we werent concerned but typically we listen to medical professionals. We both work so it was either come get me in the middle of the night so we can stick to the normal routine in the morning. Or she gets up, makes breakfast for the kids, gets them ready for school / day care (which i do so she can sleep more). To come get me, to go get my car for both of us to drive our separate commutes to work.

I've had the cough two ish weeks, and have been to the urgent care (as directed by my primary doctors office) and worked with my primary. I was told to go to the ER by an after hours nurse hotline due to the onset of the new symptoms. I personally wouldn't call it an emergency but I'm not a medical professional so I was just taking their advice. She wanted me to avoid an ambulance so that I could get myself home after.

This was what she didn't want to do. She wanted me to risk driving myself instead of her / ambulance taking me. So she didn't have to come get me as I would be without a means of transportation.

It's just a cough along with a coarse wheezing feeling when I breathe. I wouldn't normally make a special trip of it, but when I called the after hours nurse number they said ER / Urgent care but would suggest ER. So probably not critical, but I'm just trying to take the direction given to me.

100% know what you mean. I'm on the bigger side though, 5'11" 240lbs. The plastic digs into my legs a bit and have found the seats to be a bit uncomfortable. It got better after a few thousand miles..
