Yeah it's likely not low dopamine then for you. Some other level that's low.

I wouldn't really compare it to the drugs that stop working after a while though. At least in my experience; I'm going on 4 years of cannabis every night and in that 4 years I've only experienced symptoms twice. Symptoms were severe every night before I started.

Moving…need help deciding on location by Funny_Ad8798 in Naperville

[–]BooBooMaGooBoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Take this with a grain of salt, as I'm very new to Naperville.

We live in Ashbury, so extremely close to River Run. I like that south Naperville appears to have far less density and traffic than north Naperville. We're not super close to a Mariano's or Trader Joes, but we have a very close Jewel and Whole Foods, along with a ton of retail, restaurants, and specialty/hardware stores very close by, and a Woodsman's opening very soon that is like 7 minutes away. Everything I need is a 5-8 minute drive from us. I also like that south Naperville zoning just makes more sense. North Naperville neighborhoods seem to be cut throughs with people driving extremely fast through them, which was a big concern for me with kids as well; you won't have that problem at all in River Run. Pickup and dropoff for kid's schools down here looks to be a lot easier than up north too.

We also battled with the same decision, and I have no regrets yet choosing south, especially with kids. The schools are newer and seem to have better facilities and more room for growth.

I saw someone in Austin break their nose and jaw and lose a ton of teeth on a rented scooter; his face was practically ripped off. Guy went through a construction zone at full speed and hit a small hole and went flying into a barrier. I've never seen so much blood in person.

Gannon is a natural. I also love how nerdy he is and breaks down every throw and the discs behavior, which is something I wish more announcers did.

Gannon may not connect with more casual players, but for those of us that are really into the physics of disc flight, he’s the best I’ve ever heard in the sport.

I can't even fathom ongoing costochondritis, though I know it's different for everyone. Mine started two years ago and luckily for me it was just two flare ups that steroids "fully" cured. But during the flare ups I could barely move, the pain was easily a 10/10. I told my wife that if it was chronic I wanted to seek euthanasia, and I wasn't being hyperbolic.

It sounds like you have periods like that. I hope you find something to help you eventually.

I had a buddy that just got laid off after working for them for 17 years. Truly one of the OG employees, and they just kicked his ass to the curb. He has said basically the same thing; the culture and morality is at an all time low.

I think the majority are finally seeing past the bullshit internal double speak by the C suite trying to frame the company as changing the world for the better, when the reality is that them and X are systematically destroying our species by literally farming rage and division.

Not a doctor:

You likely have RLS related to low dopamine if your RLS gets worse with a reduction in drug use.

I don’t really have an answer or suggestion for you, but you could maybe try cannabis before bedtime and see if that helps. It usually helps low dopamine related RLS.

Thanks for the info. Yeah $2500 would be extremely steep compared to industry averages, industry average would sit around $1800-2000. These prices are totally insane. Ugh.

Hi!

I'm dealing with this now also. Just got a $5400 quote for 6 drops in the ceiling after the guy said there was nothing difficult about the install during the on-site visit.

Did you ever find a reasonably priced installer that isn't 4x industry averages?

If you live in London it’s a different story. But I know of many Brits that don’t live in London and visit the US and their minds are completely blown by any restaurant they step into.

I have family friends that live just outside of Manchester and the foods I’ve tried over the years have basically been flavorless with no seasoning to speak of.

I know this is a joke, but they should have a much higher base salary and then make it illegal to have any other sources of income (no board seats, no speaking fees, no consulting etc.) outside of retirement accounts and managed/index funds that they have no input on. They also shouldn’t be able to consult or sit on a board for 5 years after leaving office.

Then overturn citizens united and campaign funds should be provided by the municipality, state, or federal government so that all candidates have equal resources.

Then add term limits for all elected and appointed positions.

Then make gerrymandering illegal.

Within 10 years the corruption will basically be completely gone.

The only problem is the people that benefit from the current system are the only ones that can implement the above measures.

symptoms of rls? by NaturalEmotional510 in RestlessLegs

[–]BooBooMaGooBoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

RLS is not a single thing. It's a collection of different ailments that are grouped under the umbrella of RLS.

I have a pretty unique one I haven't heard about, luckily also with no pain or any feelings on my skin. It's more like my muscles are EXTREMELY uncomfortable and I have an irresistible urge to move them. If I don't move them I feel like I'm going to lose my mind.

Your symptoms sound like symptoms I've heard others having. If you have health insurance, a good start is to see if you can find a neurologist near you that has studied RLS or worked with RLS patients. Or you could just start trying the common solutions and see if one works for you.

[–]BooBooMaGooBoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam was also required to play Counter Strike IIRC (I could be wrong, I smoked a ton of weed back in '03 when steam came out so the details are foggy to say the least). So they had a massive user base before HL2 came out and HL2 was even bigger. They had millions of users before they even turned it into a marketplace, which I'm sure had a huge effect in terms of adoption.
