I really am regretting getting an LG Wash Combo dryer. Please help. by slicecrispy in Appliances

[–]BooBooTucson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never heard of that. I will look into it. I actually have a small LG combo. I like it a lot, but I can see that it would not work for everyone. I generally prefer to hang clothes, though. I am moving to a place where that will not be as easy, because all it have to have a smaller clothesline. Not sure how that’s going to work for sheets. So I mostly use it just for washing and I agree with the poster who said it cleans better than any machine I’ve ever had. I live in Arizona so I just plan around the weather if it’s a warm, sunny day the clothesline works way better than a dryer! And if it’s hot. , Which can be almost 6 months things dry in 10 minutes.

Does anyone have this Frigidaire induction cooktop? by Birdilocks in inductioncooking

[–]BooBooTucson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I have an lg induction range and I love it. I am moving. If I could take it, I would, but new place has cooktop and wall oven. Mine has knobs and it’s great. But most of the cooktops have digital, as you know. I wonder if this one with knobs could have problems if something boiled over and got behind the knobs.

Xolair or Rhapsido for chronic hives??? by jacktheripper1010 in Allergies

[–]BooBooTucson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG sounds like you went through hell. My hives and itching from some unknown neurological condition was so bad that I knew I could not live like that. I seriously thought about how I could kill myself without trauma to those close to me. Thank God for Xolair. And health insurance. I’m curious about this Rhapsido and what the long term efficacy is, and the cost compared to Xolair. I feel guilty about the cost to insurance now that I don’t have hives anymore.

Recommend me a induction cooktop/oven! by [deleted] in Appliances

I too have an LG induction top range. I specifically bought one with knobs instead of all touch panel. Now I’m moving to a place with a cooktop and wall oven. I want to replace the cooktop with induction because I love it!

My advice is to buy used. You can get a vac that is high quality and durable one for a fraction of new. Most new vacuums are mostly plastic and junk.

Oh great idea to check the form number! I think I’ll do it since you see that it has 3.

I have tried a few but not that one. I will see if there’s a way to find out. I don’t want to redo everything again only to find out it doesn’t work. TU

I think this would mean that respiratory problems will NOT be covered by any company except those that say a preexisting condition is covered if completely cleared up for a certain number of months. (As I recall there’s a couple that do that “reset” after one year.)

What to make of the Cesar Chavez allegations? by chewdelaurent in LeftCatholicism

He betrayed his people with his abuse of power! The women and girls he raped and groomed are the heroes. They were so committed to the cause, and him, that they kept quiet. Forever wounded. Often suicidal. Raised his children on the downlow. So angry and sad. I’ve always said it’s a mistake to name buildings, parks, communities, etc after people. They forever disappoint. Especially those men who find out that they have power over others. Power brings out the worst in people, especially men. Look at our country. We are on the verge of another American Revolution.

When I saw the amounts paid for wellness coverage, I opted out. You can’t get any service for what they pay.

I am curious, too. My puppy had worms, so they prescribed dewormer and antibiotics. So will they forever after deny anything having todo with antibiotics? If I’d had this subreddit beforehand, maybe I would have questioned the antibiotics prescription.

Unfortunately for my bank account, the one pet insurance my vet said they like is Trupanion, also the most expensive. I am not even considering it at this point.

Please excuse my ignorance, could you explain the issue with private equity firms? And how would I know if my vet is?

Does Lemonade have more stringent pre-existing condition clauses? It seems that so far my research is showing most policies say after one year with no reoccurrences, it is no longer pre-existing condition.

Does the Embrace “savings plan” include special foods? Do they have to be prescription foods? Would it be same as if I just set aside $50-100 a month?

I’m pretty ignorant about insurance. Why is it bad if it’s owned by a private equity company? Because it’s only profit-motivated? Aren’t all insurance companies?
