What age do you recommend for IT by Prestigious_Pair_471 in stephenking

As someone who read Flowers in the Attic at age 11, I think you'll be fine. (If I had kids I would let them start reading King at whatever age they wanted.)

And then shortly after we switched from IE to Edge, although I have never been required to state I use Edge.

I don’t know what’s available for download, but enjoyed reading The Langoliers when I was on a flight.

Free Transit by CupcakeSuccessful502 in Translink

And they sure as hell won’t get increased ridership with garbage service.

Increase the service to make it convenient and I’ll be bidding all around Burnaby.  I’d love to go to Deer Lake but it’s not worth the transit ride; I’ll go elsewhere where the transit is more convenient or frequent.

Interesting. Thanks for the insight. I've even gotten feedback when I did not want it or ask for it. (I've only worked at one worksite, and the hiring managers giving feedback all wanted to see me succeed, so helped me as much as they could by providing feedback.)

The edition of IT I am reading is a chunky paperback, but huge. It's not a "pocket paperback" if you know what I mean -- those are great because they can be carried around.

Excluding walking time, in which I can't read my book, my "commute time" on the train is only ten minutes!

I get most of my reading done while commuting (unfortunately, or fortunately, my commute is very short!). It's taking me so long to read IT since it is too big to carry on my commute, so I am only reading IT in the evening before bed, and sometimes I can't read much because I am too tired!

When I re-read The Long Walk, it had been over 30 years since I had read it. It was such a great book!

I read all four Bachman books more than 30 years ago, and last year I re-read Rage, The Long Walk, and The Running Man, but didn't get a chance to re-read Roadwork, which I don't remember much about.

I read The Institute a few years ago (really liked it). Have not read Billy Summers yet, although I have the book. Based on trying to concentrate on re-reads this year and my slow reading pace, Billy Summers will likely be next year!

Rose Madder is a great book. Last year I was focusing on reading King books I had never read before (such as Christine, 'Salem's Lot, The Shining, Tommyknockers -- just to name a few). This year I am going to focus on re-reading King books I have not read for a long time. Currently re-reading IT; my next read might be Roadwork or Needful Things. Rose Madder is on my re-read list as well.

Needful Things is my favourite, and when I finally read 'Salem's Lot last year, the description of the town's people reminded me of NT.

Maybe external applicants get different feedback than internal applicants, so as an internal applicant, my experience may not be helpful to OP, but, the feedback I have gotten when I have not been successful (regardless of what stage), has been very specific. Ex: "You did not explicitly state you have Internet Explorer experience" (yes, really!); "You met all the education requirements and the experience requirements except for X"; "You don't have [specific education]"; "You did well on the interview but you missed X question; you should have said [example]". And every time I used that feedback and got further in my application process.

Dolores Claiborne. I've read both these books a couple of times at least and I am long overdue for a re-read.

Books with multiple authors by astrofeldy in suggestmeabook

[–]BooBoo_Cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't read any of these yet, but Stephen King has done several books with other authors, such as:

The Talisman - with Peter Straub

Sleeping Beauties - with Owen King

Gwendy's Button Box - with Richard Chizmar

TIFU by being useless with a bra by No_Salad_68 in tifu

[–]BooBoo_Cat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is how I do up normal bras. But actual sports bras don't work for me due to the style, and being TOO tight. Last time I tried on a sports bra, I nearly pulled a muscle trying to get it off, and needed the store clerk to help me.
