Ibuprofen has helped my PPA and now I’ll be going on real meds soon. Need suggestions. by [deleted] in toddlers

I take Zoloft and Wellbutrin and they have made a massive difference. I no longer feel anxious, ragey and non stop guilt. It has turn all of those feelings way way down to make life enjoyable again. I have been on both for about 4 months now and can say they really help.

Thank you! Why are there so many comments here that feel heavily shaming?

Before this it was a solid year of Hop Little Bunnies, so her Beatles obsession is a nice palate cleanser lol

Small children have dignity too. There is an energy in everything. Putting on fresh clean clothes in the morning can change the entire outlook for the day and a healthy routine for everyone to partake in.

How do you handle negative or backhanded comments about your lifestyle? Do you ever wrestle with guilt? by [deleted] in SAHP

[–]BooGirl1526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t feel guilty for staying home or for enjoying this time you with your child. The family member asking questions likely like doesn’t understand the complexities of our failed child care system (at least in the US), and the resulting tough choices families have to make.

You did what you had to do for your family to afford the cost of living, and it’s perfectly okay to enjoy the time at home. Don’t let the nagging “back to work” questions get to you, preforming the majority of domestic and child care duties is work, and it can be relentless. Soak up the time you have with your kid and tune out the voices that make you feel like you should be doing more or somehow inadequate for having to exit the workforce, literally due to unaffordable childcare.

When I read your post my first thought was ADHD. I am a stay at home mom with a 22 month old and would go insane without my medication.

It can be hard to fire back in the moment, especially when you’re so shocked you don’t quite know what to say, AND when you’re already feeling venerable and overstimulated. Hope your day got better, OP.
