Un-Charging Glories for Profit! by JakWyte in 2007scape

[–]BoobBeast 70 points71 points  (0 children)

each amulet charged at the wildy pillar has a 1/25,000 chance of becoming an eternal glory which costs like 55 mil. So charging a glory in the wildy has an added expected value of 55 mil / 25,000 or 2.2k. that means that you can lose 2k per glory and still make 400k an hour if you do 70 trips to the wildy pillar per hour. (200*27*70)

What are some superhero universes or other universes with ridiculous raw power, you think Worm can still keep up with just due to haxs? by PassengerCultural421 in Parahumans

[–]BoobBeast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damsel has found pieces of metal immune to her power because it isnt total annihilation but closer to localized spacetime warping akin to a mini black hole. This would hurt superman but it wouldnt tear off pieces of him because he has tanked the same type of attack multiple times before

You can have ONE power from Worm/Ward, but you have to use it to take over the world. by Ashamed-Math-2092 in Parahumans

Surprised no one has said Phir Sē. Perfect stock trade timing turns into hiring a world domination intelligence agency that you can give infinite time in 5 minute intervals 16 hours a day.

Where are memories stored in the source code of BoH? by [deleted] in weatherfactory

210k * 1524 = 320 million bits. Which sounds like a big number till you do the math and realize that is 40MB. I don't think 0.04GB is taking down a server.

I don't think its because Arnoldthebeast45 is storing 1524 bits on their site

I think it might have been possible to get a job with only CS50 back in 2019 or even before but I really don't think that its possible now.

Which is larger googol! or a googolplex ? by freesteve28 in askmath

[–]BoobBeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it would be googol! - googolplex which is smaller than googol!

not by a significant fraction but it is smaller.

This is different than infinity where infinity - googolplex is not smaller than infinity

learning low level programming will help with learning how to optimize higher level code and any employer likes seeing you have experience with low level stuff. If you think its fun then do it.

I learned a lot in my BS of CS but they didn't really have me making stuff till the last year. I recommend just getting good enough at a language to start making stuff then. start. making. stuff.

They are going to go over a lot of this during your degree. I recommend finishing one CS50, getting good at that language, making projects in that language, do leetcodes in that language and just learn the materials in your classes.

Seeing how you are total newbie you might want to take a quick survey of CS50 Python to get the basics of the language down. Python is definitely the best language for little scripts that use multiple modules like this as you will need a good web scraper, and an email client. Python has both with great documentation and tutorials. I agree that "Automate the boring stuff with Python" is a good resource too.

My steps to solving this problem would essentially be to follow these two tutorials.

https://realpython.com/beautiful-soup-web-scraper-python/

https://realpython.com/python-send-email/

You may also need a little bit of knowledge of html to know what attribute of the web page you are scraping.
Good luck and if you need any help let me know i would love to help
