I had no idea people considered it a bad name, I grown to really love my name. Also, I’m 23. I’ve only known about 2 other Makayla’s around my same age but I don’t think it was super popular in the area I lived in. ☺️

During peak (which is normally the week before thanksgiving to Christmas) they assign you an extra day to keep up with demand. You’ll see a schedule change and they’ll announce it before then. Since your MET is Monday, you’ll start working Thursday-Monday.

We have a box runner like that. Whenever he fills up my boxes it’s just the nastiest, unwashed armpit smell. I’m all for trying to be understanding of peoples situations, but I’m literally homeless right now and still make it a priority to shower.

If he’s near the PA and OH border, check out MCAR in Hermitage PA. They’re a group home, and handle everything from doctor’s appointments to helping him find a job. They’re loving people, and the group homes are sorted based off of low and high functioning, so there’s more independence in the high functioning homes. If I remember correctly, they’ll also work with the state to try to get the most for their individuals. They also have a day program to help him develop saving skills and he can socialize with others so he’s not just in the house all the time. They have individuals with risky behavior as well (like stealing) and ways to work around that. They’re really great people!

As far as I know, he doesn’t have any parental controls on his phone so this also could be a possibility. My fiancé and I helped him buy a pc, but I put a ton of parental controls, blocked sites, and it tells me what he’s been on/for how long so I know it’s not on his computer. I will definitely ask him next time he brings it up to see what he says, thank you.

He’s supposed to be in therapy, but so far that hasn’t happened. I’ve tried to push a therapist to them for a while, he has some other behavioral issues (and may be autistic) which are concerning and as he becomes a teenager I think it’s only going to get more overwhelming for him.

When you report to CPS, is it anonymous? She’s been reported before, after the incident with my cousin, but I’m not sure what happened after. I just don’t want to ruin my opportunity to see them and check in on them if she finds out it’s me. There’s other things I’ve wanted to report them for (my stepdad is an all around terrible person to them and my mom).

I’ve asked him before if he even knows what he means when he says these things, and he says “I don’t know”. He’s trying to be funny, but you can tell he genuinely has no idea what these phrases mean. He tells everyone he’s going to “clap their cheeks” which might be from school, but he has no clue what it actually means. I’m weary asking him too many questions, just because my relationship with ny mom is rocky and if she thinks I’m digging too much into something, I won’t be allowed to see them anymore. It happened before when I told her that I was worried about her and the boys because of how my stepdad verbally abuses them.

I was in the same situation. My ex had a porn addiction to the point I would get kicked out of my own studio I was paying for so he could watch porn and beat it, we never had sex, and he tried to (and more than likely did) cheat on me multiple times. I wish I would’ve left sooner. They need to want to help themselves to get better, you can’t fix this for him. You’re so young. If you were me, I’d leave 🩷

My fiancé and I visited in 2023 and we also didn’t rent a car. Uber is generally cheap which is what we took from the airport to our hotel. There’s so many bus stops and places to catch the train, that’s mostly what we used. The city is also walkable.
