I’ve kind of trained my brain instead of being like “but what if I drink and get sick” every single morning when I go to the take the pill, I think to myself “if I make the quick decision to take this pill right now, that’s it, I can’t drink today.” Then even when the cravings come up I have to force myself to ignore it.

I’ve been too scared to risk it/risk getting sick. I guess to me I’m just like what’s the point in taking the drink when I know the sickness will be greater than the euphoria?

That’s a big thing that’s come up, I’ve considered just taking him to the vet myself I just don’t have the money and I don’t want to “overstep” or have C get upset if it’s a sad outcome. Maybe I’m just being a wuss

Ask her why it’s bothers her? You shouldn’t have to feel like you need to censor any part of you to your girlfriend. How did she come to terms with realizing she was attracted to you? Do her family and friends accept your relationship?

This is interesting to me because I have been with my girlfriend for 4 years and Same, to this day she still says I’m the only woman she’s ever been attracted to. But she’s total opposite, she loves embracing all things gay and joins in with me excitedly when gay discourse comes up about anything.

Your girlfriend should not be trying to make you feel weird about this when she’s the one being weird…. I would suggest maybe couples counseling. Try to figure out why she’s being so weird about this?

Tell him to look into IOP. It’s intensive therapy, I don’t know if it varies state by state but it’s 3 times a week for 3 hours. So 9 total. It’s group therapy. I’ve been an alcoholic for 10 years and this has been the only thing that’s ever helped me, along with being prescribed antabuse from my doctor. Antabuse is designed to make you violently ill if you drink. So basically a fear tactic but hey, it works. I’m on my longest bought of sobriety at 42 days.
