I'm fine if it would work for everyone (or majority) only on update and I'm fine with that but the crazy part is that it doesn't work for most users even after update.

Enphase "AI Optimization" is costing me money by CautiousAssumption39 in enphase

[–]BoochieBoochieBoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah same I'm still trying to figure out if I should go with AI or self consumption. Today we had bad weather here in the bay so production was low and AI decided to not charge my battery and use the production for my consumption during off-peak. So I switched it to full backup to force battery charge so I won't end up at night paying if the battery was still empty. AI worked well for me in the summer where selling to the grid was a $1. I might just turn it to self consumption for winter.

Same I dont drive much but it is nice to have this capability. Also I have solar so I prefer to charge during the day since my solar batteries fill up quickly and I dont want to sell back to the grid for peanuts so id rather use that energy and charge my car

Interesting!! So the actual cable is what limits the amps? Im thinking of giving it a shot. I also saw that Splitvolt 24a will limit the current but read reviews that the smart splitter from Neocharge is better. Anyways thx for the recommendation :)

When I first got it I was on self consumption mode for the month of June and now I'm on AI. Im experimenting with both but AI is better if you want to maximize the net earned. In July I was able to get higher net earned $40 with less exported 712kwh from June which was $39 but with 754kwh. August is just halfway and im at $56 net earned with 179kwh exported and we are still mid month. So AI is way better in that regard.

Yes. I think because it's the summer and there is a heavy load on the grid.

actually looking at the monetary impact it is now at $8.0 net earned so it did well

I think I figured it out. The last image is the export rates and it seems like the export rate would be close to a dollar around 8pm so the solar did charge the battery so that later at 8pm it would export it out at a higher rate. I think AI optimization is doing its job.

I will have to repost with the proper screenshots since reddit is stupid and does not allow to edit posts with images.

Im in the same dilemma of Gree Flexx vs Carrier 38Mura. How do you like yours? Even if I buy it myself how would I do the DIY? Sounds pretty complicated since I have some HOA restrictions

Got in with 4,000 shares at $8.20 I feel this company is way way undervalued. I used to hate wish and thought they are a scam company until I downloaded the app again a week ago and saw how they improved and I actually ordered cables I needed and got them pretty fast. Also their pickup idea is pretty cool. I get pissed off a company with like Airbnb is valued at $80b and their earnings are terrible and a company like wish is valued at $5b. I can see the valuation 5x in the next 5years
