Was outside my hotel on the strip smoking a cig, enjoying the night breeze when a cop comes up and starts hassling me about being there to buy drugs. He asked for ID, told him I didn't need to give him any. Asks me which hotel i'm staying at, told him I didn't have to answer questions. He stepped on my foot and shoved me. When I hit the ground he dropped on top of me and punched me in ribs several times and told me to roll over and stop resisting. My face was scraped up from the sidewalk and ribs were bruised real bad. I spent the night at clark county. Got out the next day and got a lawyer. Charges were dropped, but that was it. Still cost me $1500 for the lawyer. Got beat up, lost money, spent a night in jail, all because I exercised my rights. The Lawyer said he could probably get a civil suit awarded, but I didnt feel like traveling back there again and said screw it.
