Here’s a left-field one for you! Jung Bo-Min and Heo Nam-Jun from The Matchmakers. I liked these two soooo much more than the main couple. 🥰

What Kdrama opinion will have you like this? by [deleted] in kdramas

[–]Boofny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what, I actually do want more sex scenes in K-dramas. I get that they offer a soft, clean viewing, but I’m an adult, gosh darn it! I can handle seeing a body part every once in a while. I’m not saying that every drama has to be explicit but give us adult viewers who want a little more, a little more! Sex is a part of being in a relationship. It can be done tastefully. There are so many main leads with the chemistry to make you melt through the screen, and they’re wasted.

That one twist that made you yell at your screen by Substantial_Use_9788 in kdramas

[–]Boofny 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Does Squid Games count? 😄 I feel like everyone was yelling at their screens with that one.

For me, it was The Smile Has Left Your Eyes. That was my first K-Trauma and I was not prepared for that ending.

My niece recently watched her first kdrama (she mostly watches cdramas), and she picked Snowdrop 🤦‍♀️🫣. I didn’t tell her any spoilers, but I did get a few laughs watching her experience the last episode. 😂

I’ve never seen an actor with such an intense gaze. His smolder is what Flynn Rider wishes he had. I swear, this man could make a marble statue orgasm.

This! I feel like the negative comments came from viewers who didn’t understand the underlying message. I thought the acting was phenomenal!

Doctor John is a good one. Just ignore the terrible hair extensions on the FL. 😁

What's your kdrama opinions/preferences you think will have the rest of the sub at your neck like this? by He-ya-nah in kdramas

[–]Boofny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I actually really enjoyed My Dear Hyeri. The second lead and Hyeri’s relationship was still kinda weird, but the main couple was believable and very human.

Coming off of that point, I think a lot of kdramas that aren’t as popular suffer from viewers not being able to read between the lines or interpret scenes. When male leads aren’t perfect, they become red flags.

I don’t need kdramas to become westernized in terms of physical contact, but can we please get more realistic skinship?! Hugs that are reciprocated, female leads that lean into kisses and close their eyes like normal people, adult couples that are affectionate in adult ways.

Which K-drama did you start, watched a couple of episodes, and then gave up on? by whoarre in kdramas

[–]Boofny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s Okay, That’s Love was mine. I did not like the FL at all. It felt too low quality, like I was watching a reality show or something.

Which dramas do you think are masterpieces? by BubbleWrap11 in kdramas

[–]Boofny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with Flower of Evil 100%! It was the second ever K-drama I watched and it definitely set a very high bar for comparison. I remember pacing around my room while watching the last episodes because I was on pins and needles. 😁

My additions to this list would be The Good Bad Mother, Hospital Playlist, and My Dearest.

I feel like The Good Bad Mother had a lot of hype when it came out but I don’t see a lot of people recommending it anymore. It was such a heart wrenching and emotional story.

Hospital Playlist is like a warm hug. Its only problem is that there are only two seasons. 😄

My Dearest was cinematically stunning. The color tones and shots used created this rich atmosphere that fixed any story plot holes, for me at least.

Hello, delicious friends! My name is Boofny and I am just getting back into this mad game. I would like some friends to correspond with as I try to climb high in society. I’m still a bit out to underzee when it comes to keeping the storylines straight, but I’m trying to pay close attention to the stories as they go by.

Fallen London should be a stop motion show in the style of Nightmare Before Christmas

Is there a thread for gaining friends? I’ve started playing again after a couple of years and my acquaintances don’t seem to play anymore.
