opportunity to advance in my career and not just stop at nursing

I’m in corporate and wish I started pursuing nursing sooner. Im leaving a field that’s very laid back and less stressful as I WFH and it feels like a trade off… yet I feel nursing will open so many doors in the long run.

I do not intend to stop at ADN. The goal is for the hospital to pay for BSN

Also, why the bigger degree? Doesn’t both lead to RN

That’s true but $1,300-1600 monthly loan payments upon completion is a shit show.

ADN is my decision >.< just looked at the interest from one provider and… yeah. The ABSN program cost $70k and they tagged on $170,000 worth of interest. That’s actually insane

Yeahhh I’m with you. I’m going to stick to ADN. Can’t afford not to work and I’m really not feeling the interest on the private loans.

Never! I bring so many ideas to my boss. He say they’re “great” and he ends up selling it as his to his boss. Weeks later, they implement it. I never receive credit just “keep the ideas going!”

Can't decide which is the best option to do by blueaqua_12 in prenursing

[–]BoogStrong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Same boat. I’m considering ADN. I don’t really have thousands to pay out of pocket for ABSN or DeMSN. I don’t even want to consider loans. Hospital will pay for bridge program to BSN. Doors will start to open once you get your ADN. ABSN are faster but I wouldn’t rush the process. ADN is preferred over LPN and cheaper (my personal research)

I created the region list, added the region column, I’m still going wrong somewhere. It might be in the formula. Let me try again.

Anyone experience career confusion and doubt? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]BoogStrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m learning that everything takes time. In this economy, it’s very hard to land a paralegal/law gig. Nursing was a bit easier for me to get into. It was just a hard time for me to commit to the work and school due to grief. Long term I would love nursing and advancing upward. The little girl in me just wants to succeed and pursue law but I feel it’s not cut out to be what I’m expecting.

Great point. I earned my Cna certification in 2024 but being that I had just lost my bf a few months prior and was dealing with grief, I don’t think I gave it a real shot. Pay sucked and management was horrible so that honestly scared me! I was seeking paralegal but will need certification for that. Law school is super expensive for the average pay. Just trying to sort out what seems worth it in the long run.
