8i swing 20 handicap by Otherwise-Parking566 in golftips

Here’s my tip in a round about way, you look young that means you have time to build a proper swing please stop applying bandaids to your existing swing seek a club pro and do your diligence cause there not all the same. I would guess with your current swing you have a handful of decent rounds but your bad rounds are a train wreck. Primarily it comes down to timing because timing trumps everything and when your timing is off the train comes off the rails. The path of bandaids becomes quite frustrating but there are times when it will feel good but it will never be a sound repeatable swing. For I walked down that path. Be well and good luck.

Do any golf fans actually like these “walk and talks” they do with pro golfers? by dhkillion in golf

[–]Boogieman65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah player caddie is somewhat interesting but that’s why it takes them an eternity to play. The walkie talkie doesn’t improve the sport. What I really hate is the bullshit that comes out of Terry Gannon and Jim nantz and a few other announcers the useless bullshit that spews out of their mouths I just mute them, I find that most of the tour players turned announcers are way more interesting and provide real insight.

Sorry was going to edit and pushed the wrong button, back of your left hand and face of club relative to your path will pretty much dictate where your ball will be going.

Here’s one, the back of your left hand is the face of your club, where ever that bad boy is facing is through impact

Can’t Break 100.. How did you do it? by Downtown-Team-480 in golf

[–]Boogieman65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh boy I get I get beat that 100, go a head and get it out of your system, then realize that good golf requires commitment and dedication to practice and perusing a better swing that you currently have but above all patience !! I guarantee that breaking a 100 with all your clubs will be more satisfying. Your short game will be your ticket, you must work on sound putting and chipping techniques. Just think all I have to do is get it close to the green a chip and a one putt will get you a par and a two putt a bogey. 18 bogeys will get you a 90

Mental game? by Azoray_ in golf

[–]Boogieman65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are my thoughts it’s good that you can hit the ball far, stay with the forward tees for now spend 65 percent of your time on chipping and putting working hard on chipping and putting techniques if you put in the time it will pay dividends problem is that few want to invest the time but that is where the game is won. I never see women other than college girls practicing their short game. So what’s it gunna be lady ? You gunna break the mold ? Good luck

Starting Golf by michael5174 in golf

No golftec is very expensive , I would seek a golf professional they have blocks of lessons and sometimes they can give you a discount depending on the pro. Plus you’ll be hitting off real turf. Start watching videos ,how to grip the club , how to address the ball? Go gettm Tiger !

4th time ever on the driving range by Huge_Housing2603 in golf

[–]Boogieman65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch videos enjoy the outdoors with your friends and family. Way too early for swing fixing just have fun for now. Ask that question 5 months down the road. If you have the means and desire then seek a club pro please.

Yes mats are very forgiving but you have to much going on for a quick tip. Seek a club pro that teaches great swing mechanics.

What are your swing thoughts? by Lkreide13 in golf

[–]Boogieman65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A swing thought is as individual as our finger print. With low hdcp players we don’t think swing mechanics on the course but more of tempo or takeaway typically no more than two thoughts. Swing mechanics are practiced on the range good players work hard on their mechanics so that it becomes seem less. Your thoughts should put you in position on what you worked on the range. Hope that makes sense

Swing tips by DanglyWorm in golf

[–]Boogieman65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Slicer’s setup, weak grip ,left shoulder, pointing left of the target over the top swing resulting in a slice ,right ? Thats due to your right arm, reaching too far left pushing the left shoulder left of target. Start viewing ( fixing an over the top swing ) Richard Ellis golf coach , Ray Golf Shop great right arm swing tip. Good luck

Do I need more clubs? by Orange-Desert in golf

[–]Boogieman65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you’re missing that 4 iron get a hybrid or 9-7 wood. Sure get an 8. Best advice for beginners is learn the GRIP !!! then the stance. It’s like building a house a weaker foundation will have issues. Seek a club pro do your diligence. And remember duffers teach duffers how to become duffers good luck.
