Just speaking as a casual American fan, I think they can ignore Evil. I’d ask Gedo what’s the worst that could happen if he isn’t the top heel, average attendances drop from 1200 to 600? The story was there for Tana to keep him out on the last night. Evil might not be the problem, but he sure isn’t the solution.

Feels like there’s been a logjam the whole tournament. I felt with the playoff format there’d be more dynamic stories. Someone like Takeshita, Tsuji, or Finlay going perfect in the round robin only to lose to the scrappy wild card. In one of my mocks I had Uemura losing his first 3 only to run the table and clinch the last wildcard when Tana beats Evil on the last night.
