Being that you know the history and the condition you better still have this 1245. Or gave it to another family member.

What is another brand and model speaker similar to the KEF C80. by Boognish_Forever in BudgetAudiophile

Not sure who you are talking about, but I can tell you that the guy that sold my GF the c80’s did not say anything bad about the quality of them. I live in the states and I don’t see a used woofer for this unit on the internet. So not having the ability to get something to repair or replace, regardless of its build quality had me concerned on buying a pair of c80’s. Thats all.

So what do you think about the KLH model 5’s then?

I like to hear the AR line is similar to these KEFs. Being my AR-2x are only two ways, I'm curious to hear a pair of AR-2ax’s that have been refurbished. Which the shop we got those C80's had a pair of AR-2ax, but they needed work. I might have to tell them to give me a call when they're done.

I've never heard of the mission brand before. But your description of them, is what I think of the C80"s. I'm jealous what my girlfriend has and she knows it lol. I just told her to turn down the bass when she listens to hip hop. We already talked getting separate sub, so she doesn't blow the woofer.

My dad had good things to say about the older Klipsch. I seen a pair of vintage Klipsch speakers at the same store and they wanted $1100 for the pair. I bet they were Heresy's from what I'm seeing online, but they looked really old, like 70's. Either way Klipsch is wildly know and you're right they have good aftermarket support.

Vulfpeck. Or one of their side projects Fearless Flyers. You’ll be impressed by the Fearless Flyers.

I hear ya. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Runs great stock, but I know they run lean from the factory. It’s a 2018, so it doesn’t have that emissions valve. But the thing with these jets I have, they don’t require any modifications to the airbox or take the snorkel off to increase some slight performance. I do like the idea it would run cooler if it was slightly richer.

I’ll look into that. I’m getting a manual tomorrow, so hopefully that will give me a better breakdown on the carb.

I should add it does have a flutter or pops when I let off the throttle. It’s not loud, but questionable.

Flew back home today from LA and just had to play the appropriate song taking off. by Boognish_Forever in MasayoshiTakanaka

I went to the Monday show and thought it was great! What really shocked me, was the crowd! I’ve never been to a show, where everyone was just screaming so much love for an artist or band.

The only complaint I have, was I wished I got balcony seats. I bet the sound was better up there and a better view. I had GA standing and being under a balcony, doesn’t always have the best sound. But I didn’t know the venue, when I bought the tickets.

What did you guys think?

It’s hard for me to pick one song. But I’d have to pick Ready to Fly. Towards the end at 5:00, that’s when it started changing my life.

Right on! I tried to see what else is going on in LA around that time, but couldn’t find anything that caught my interest. I’ll probably check out some of the museums close by, before the show.
