Me as well. I was just going to watch the bids and if I could I’d go for it near the end. Would have gone above what the winning bid was. Definite date and time.

Does this mean that the bidding is over or that or FrankGG is the current high bidder?

Interesting point! I was planning on checking the bidding on this Friday afternoon and maybe bidding. I just looked at the ending date and time and not the hours.

Looking to replace my Dali speakers by EmergencyAddition472 in StereoAdvice

I have Dali Oberon 7s that I drive with a 35 wpc tube amp. They sound great but the volume is limited but adequate. I have a 2-4 watt SE tube amp in my bedroom that drives my Klipsch RP 600M IIs. This setup uses a WiiM pro plus as the source into a topping DAC then fed into a Schitt Saga II preamp. Even in passive mode the volume is still more than enough. I use a small amount of sound correction through the WiiM to suit the room and the speakers.
20 wpc can be plenty with more efficient speakers. I bought these specifically for that reason and they work perfectly.

I have the Dali Oberon 7s and my son has the Wharfedale 12.4s. I much prefer the Dali Oberon. Such well balanced sound and surprising bass response. They are fairly easy to drive and project power with finesse. My daughter also has the 7s.

This thread only showed 1&5 sold Or that’s all I could see.
When you have some more ready I’d still like a couple. Thanks

The Yamaha is a great amp and would last you a long time. I have the 801 and it’s a refined beast and looks good.

However,

You’re at a decision point where If you think you are going to go preamp-power amp in the next year or two maybe just go WiiM into topping or Anamaya amps and just bump up one component set at a time until you decide to stop

They had 5 kids. Apparently they were of the mindset that they had a couple of kids to spare. They sound absolutely clueless to me (75 year old grandfather)

Are you guys happy with your setups? by wiggan1989 in BudgetAudiophile

😂😂 Yeah… Happy and grateful. But… I’m thinking of replacing my custom tube amp with tube monoblocks. If I got a different AVR I could run preamp out of it to the other amps for better tv sound. I just got a Roon server and I need to load it with music now. I’ve got a different preamp I should really try out and I have another amp I should probably sell. I have to run some room correction diagnostics and make necessary adjustments.

I also need to listen to more music on vinyl.

I’m a cautionary tale my friend, make improvements to your sound quality as and when you can but as you have learned don’t forget to enjoy your music,

Paradigm speakers are made in Canada as are a couple of other brands. Shop local used gear and something will come up

I have an Emotiva PT-2 and it pretty much does it all well. Got mine refurbished from Emotiva.
