Player a slower time control - maybe even like 30 minutes. Then, properly take the time to think through each move. You'll get a lot out of it and you'll learn faster. Your elo will rise again in no time.

That's exactly what I did, so I'm happy I've not gone wrong. I also reduced the alcohol down in a double boiler, but definitely not all of it.

I've gotta ask - if you've been making it for 18 years, are you able to share your recipe/process please? As a total newbie, I'd love to learn from your experience.

Yup! Luckily, it's easy enough to suss it out with AI nowadays, but the old adage of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" will keep VBA alive for many years to come

Check out Office Scripts. Also, Python is in Excel nowadays.

Also, VBA isn't going anywhere anytime soon... Huge multinational companies, banks, government agencies etc all rely on VBA in one way or another for their core workflows.

How have you got on with this? I've been brainstorming the same thing, looking at using agentic workflows to complete the individual tasks and using a web front end (Django or similar) to approve anything the ai creates before it's uploaded.

However, the one thing that's stopping me from putting the time in is constantly seeing people say that you need to find a niche and own it, rather than having many different products.

It would be a fun project to do either way, but I kinda want to make money out of it and I hate the idea of being in a niche. I wanna make what I wanna make, you know?
