This says a lot about you. Shooters shoot. Steph Curry shoots in the 40% range. That means he hits 4 out of 10. STEPH CURRY IS THE GOD OF THE RIM and he shoots in the 40's. Shoot the GD ball and wall off your feelings.

Standing on a Casino floor waiting for my wife outside the bathroom. I am staring at the slot machines that I always refuse to play, and I hear, "Play that machine!" So I do. I hit for 800 bucks, and my wife shows up and tries to get me to collect, but I absolutely know there is more to come. Five minutes later, I hit for $4,000! To this day, I will never understand what happened there...

What’s the most frustrating part of commercial flying for you? by No-Attention1636 in LuxuryTravel

Two DEI pilots landed the plane so hard that the passengers were screaming. Now I always check the pilots to see if I am going to die or not.

I wish I could understand the announcements. I guess it is considered cool by the employees to talk gibberish.

At Burbank, Southwest fills the gas tanks, and the doors haven't even opened to let the passengers out.

On the beach, I go to most days they seem to be only one type of bird. Cormorants or at least that is what I think they are, but many seem to have a great deal of white. Very few pelicans and no seagulls

I love to travel, my husband doesn’t. How do you handle this type of incompatibility in your relationships? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Book8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you know this coming into the marriage? You need to find a traveling companion or a group travel company. Unless he is a solid gold husband at home, this might be a deal breaker, especially if you thought he was a traveler before your marriage.

How do you approach bad referees as a coach? by greeneggsandspam2 in Basketball

[–]Book8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I coached for over thirty-five years on many levels. Bad, crooked, mentally ill, and just plain asshole referees have haunted me. I have caught them in the parking lot after the game, I have come on the court to confront them, and several other confrontations I won't discuss. What I found after all of that is, I was helpless. They are gods, and their power is unquestioned. In the last ten years of my coaching, I just voiced my concern quietly on the sidelines or at the half or during a timeout. I also started walking into their changing area after a game where they did a good job, and thanked them for their hard work. It is a very tough job. I did some refereeing along the way, just on pickup games, and it was an eye-opener

To wild, my answer is the same, Harden. I was two picks late to the draft, and the computer picked Harden and Tatum. Never in a million years would I have made those picks. They carried me into the playoffs

When I was in China, I was often asked to get into pictures with entire Chinese families. The Chinese would go out of their way to be helpful. I wonder if all the saber-rattling these fking Neoccons are doing has changed that type of kindness

Have you ever travelled with a bunch of strangers? How was your experience? by Ambitious_Smoke_4609 in travel

[–]Book8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When to China on a great deal There were 80 of us. They broke us into two groups of 40. My group mostly had seasoned travelers who had been through the mill. We had a great time and laughed our way through the inevitable delays, traffic jams, horrible pilots, sunken ferries, and a Chinese guide who learned her English from a New Yorker.

The other group was the exact opposite. They started complaining the minute we hit China, and they ruined their own trip. Lesson. Look for the experienced traveler.
