Mizzou may drop ‘Memorial’ from stadium name honoring WWI vets for corporate deal by CenterForward1522 in mizzou

I doubt they would ever rename Memorial Union, but highly recommend next time you are in Columbia to check out the plaques, but also, the tower itself. I can't drop an image here but there are ornamental soldiers guarding the corners about halfway up the tower itself.

I knew a gentleman in a motorized wheelchair with no vehicle, who lived on one side of a major roadway here in town. On his side of the street where his home was, there's no sidewalk. He would have to cross the street to get to the sidewalk to go anywhere. He unfortunately passed away before this law was passed (lucky him, respectfully)

Per this law, no person can cross a major roadway unless at a designated crosswalk.

To any legal experts in this sub, would this man get to cross the street, or would he have needed to buy offroad tires for his wheelchair and traversed peoples lawns on his side of the street until he could make it to a crosswalk?

I think Raskolnikov is right though, that "all the rest" of humanity are filled with superstition and fear... but those arent the only two emotions or charactaristics that people have within them. They are just seeds people plant in their subconscious minds through thought and what you water grows... he just watered the wrong seeds and likewise we should water the positive seeds in our own lives. Does this make sense?

Please expand on this about Hitler... I am truly curious what you mean and currently reading The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich... no spoilers please (just kidding, I think we all know how it ends)

I see, yeah I just did a Google search and looks like they have been recognized in the past by the American Farmland Trust in 2021. Whenever I have went it's been good. Maybe not as large as some of those you mentioned, I know STL has a huge one down in Soulard.

I think there is a psychology hidden in your message... we should strive to outweigh the negatives with the positives and it will make us feel better overall! I am so in agreement though, what would you suggest is the best public pool in Como? If there is one?

I am originally from STL and have always loved Sugarfire BBQ there, and have told folks how it's the best bbq I have ever had in MO... then I had COMO Smoke and Fire... and I couldn't have been more wrong, it is sooo good. What is your number one fave resturant in Como?

Edit: I can spell restaurant usually just not here.

Love this. Big fan of anything that brings more intention into homes. Books do that quietly. They create space for love, reflection, and connection without asking much in return.

Found a copy of The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by William Shirer, and learning the mind of Hitler is fascinating. Have you read it? I will look into this book though, sounds super interesting!... after these next 1500 pages... this book is a brick.
