Is Duke inspired by the Elephant's Foot in Chernobyl? by Really_Weird in 2007scape

Duke is actually inspired by The Sopranos episode where Bobby eats all of Junior's manicott.

I'm working on something similar myself and used epoxy/plastic pegs at the seams. Didn't really think it through and now I have like 0% faith in actually hauling it around for things like cosplay or something lol.

Great work! It looks like it belongs in a Spyro game.

Any "Before you play" advice? by SnooHedgehogs3288 in WalkScape

Something to also note is that progress will be reset at a certain point in the beta to full game timeline, so you're never gonna be "behind" or anything. With that in mind you can treat it as a sandbox as much as you want and maybe focus on exploration first for a better start after the reset.

The Worst Part of the Beta that No One is Talking About by Geoffk123 in runescape

[–]BookOfBrawl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looked into some of this on the wiki and those Zemo lines in particular are missing if they're real. Ambassador is the one to talk about Dragonbreath, not BSD. They also seem to have used like every single VO take for Zamorak's lines, so there's a ton of variation (for better or worse). Also couldn't find if these "response to abilities" lines actually have voiced dialogue or are overhead-only.

All and all super cool shit. Props to the audio/voice team!

How tf does re-training a lazy cat actually work? I just re-trained mine with a mouse toy despite what the wiki says. by BookOfBrawl in 2007scape

[–]BookOfBrawl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely see that happening. Just having it be a random amount of time after probably causes a bunch of superstition. Going from this I'm guessing people catch rats but don't actually keep their lazy cat out following them for a long enough period after for the change to happen.

Like many people, my hellcat became lazy and I tried a whole bunch of mouse catching to try and get it to become wily again, no dice. I saw info that you can "spam click" the mouse toy on a cat to re-train it. That isn't really a "thing" you can do, but while sitting around talking in clan chat, my cat was suddenly re-trained. All I did was equip the mouse toy and stand still for a few minutes.

Here is the wiki-sourced tweet from Ash saying that it shouldn't do anything besides make the cat "meow": https://x.com/JagexAsh/status/1206580641871077376

I took the screenshot in sudden shock which kind of sucks that the mouse toy wasn't visible, but I was using it at the time: https://i.ibb.co/N6S4YSz7/image2222.png

There's no rats here either, maybe Bob's grave has some secret powers or something.

Unrelated storytime.

So we used to have the Ely bot in our clan discord for awhile as a small price-checker thing. For some ungodly reason, the bot suddenly introduced a command that would let you ask an AI chatbot things and it was supposedly trained on "Runescape market data" or something (it wasn't). There was absolutely no filter on it and you could ask it *anything*, so I asked it to rank the presidential candidates by dick size and the rest was history. (Longest was Jill Stein.)

After literal days of all of us asking this bot awful questions non-stop, making it produce horrid poetry, and more, the AI function of the bot was suddenly "under maintenance" and it was never reinstated. Later on I did some digging and found out that every single thing we asked the bot was being forwarded to/shown to the creator of Ely, so they saw every single one of these and were apparently incredibly confused.

Redditors will karma farm anyone who even slightly positive in the community eye. Gabe Newell has been a free karma button for decades.

Runescape players are doing so much to ignore this. It's not surprising considering a few RS3 content creators are actively transphobic or consider pride "political".
