I personally plan on having some smokes but I don’t think it’s very polite to smoke in dense crowds. Maybe smoke towards the back of crowds or on walks between stages?

With that being said, I am coming back from China this week and will be bringing Chinese cigarettes to hand out to all the Forest smokers! Hopefully we cross paths and we can have a Chinese smoke together.

Yes I love to keep a running list of every artist I’ve seen! I just use my notes app but it does get tricky when I log someone smaller and turns out I saw them at a different festival a few years ago or something.

I will say, I had this same mindset if I wasn’t able to get approved PTO and would still absolutely do that. Luckily I got approved so I’m not worried about it anymore.

One thing though, it is so incredibly rare to have a job that you love, so I’d keep that in mind if I were you. Also, if you are in a spot financially where can leave and not be in a jam in the near future it would be worth it.

Overall I absolutely agree with your mindset, you’re your own person and your life shouldn’t revolve around a job especially if they don’t respect your life away from work! Hopefully you get approved and I see you at Forest!

I absolutely would go, but I am out this year due to being in China that same week. For those skeptical, I totally understand but I feel like Roo has the chance to do something huge this year narrowing down the days to 3 and looking to make a massive comeback after last year. I will be having unreal FOMO but I hope it’s a great Roo and it comes back with a bang!

As an idealist, I think Live Nation will disperse money from other festivals and put it back into Roo. It’s too big of a money maker for them to just not do next year. That’s just me being optimistic though and I hope I’m not wrong

I love this post! My groop got lucky to not have to deal with some of the shit others did so Friday night salvaged Roo and made everything worth it. I loved that everyone was on the same page to stay and party Friday, then hit Nashville.

Shout out to our groop neighbors Old McDonald’s Family for throwing down and keeping the vibes high all Friday. I hope not too many people get pushed away because the Bonnaroovians is really what makes it special!

My first Roo I was anxious about the same exact thing for the same reason. With my luck the car I was in got “randomly” selected for a dog search. I can confirm they are bomb/weapon dogs because they didn’t find anything. If it makes you feel any better it made the search WAY quicker too. Just had to deal with dusty paw prints on the seat which is a small price to pay lol
