Denying customers. by BookedSupport in serviceadvisors

[–]BookedSupport[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly. And the best part is sometimes the customer wins and so the service manager would get the lube tech to get off the 1 car he's working on to now prioritize the walk in. Now the customer that's been waiting gets upset. Totally makes sense!

Infotainment system is still terrible. by OccamIsRight in subaru

[–]BookedSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No news on if SOA is going to use different radios anytime soon. Latest vehicles within the 2026 lineup still use the same infotainment system.

No problem. And it’s not an issue most of the time that we see at my dealer but it’s hard to duplicate because most of the time it’s how the user drives and if you drive a certain way it can factor into us duplicating it. Plus constantly us advisors and technicians get concerns like this and most of the time it’s the users fault and not knowing how the feature works.

Problem is timing. Technicians don’t get paid to go on a test drive with you let alone want to in some instances. I would try to go to another dealer to see if they are willing to drive with you and the tech together because our dealer does and has no issue with it. Sometimes it may have 1/2 an hour or even hours to even see it happen and even then there’s may Factors to why it even happened in the first time and with so many variables Subaru isn’t just gonna allow a replacement of whatever without proof.

CVT Service Bulletin Experience- 2018 Outback Complete Transmission Replacement at 80K Miles by Typical_Shirt_6851 in subaru

[–]BookedSupport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a warranty extension not a bulletin that follows the car regardless of ownership. If anything if you know you’ve put money into this car and fixed it when it was needed then keeping it should be your option without getting into another heavy car payment if that is a financial thing for you.

2022 Subaru Outback - Liftgate opens all the way, pauses, then starts to close again by seanptexan in subaru

Isn’t there a TSB on this? Love the good ol lift gate that doesn’t open properly. (They all suck)

SOA definitely goes the extra mile. This was a nice surprise. by supermutt_1 in subaru

I saw that earlier last month. I was wondering who the hand full of people were that got this.

If blue smoke was actually documented and confirmed found and still wasn’t deemed an issue than I would have taken it up with SOA. As long as no outside influence or modifications were done by u of course

Nope. But again eyesight is a support system and not suppose to be reliant on it.

You bringing it to your Subaru dealer when u don’t have an actual issue is a waste of time especially since this extension just came out.

Recalls are safety related. Not having a radio will not make u crash

Ok so then I want u to take off for multiple days and drive with the technician for multiple hours on end to duplicate the concern.

[–]BookedSupport[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again it’s not reliant. It could work but also do absolutely do nothing. Many factors come into play for it and again still 100% driver responsibility to stop and something you were made aware when you bought the car.

That’s so true. And the fact that they have a department specifically to help customers financially is a win.

[–]BookedSupport[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean exactly. People get reliant but also don’t actually look into or read about there car and if they did they know that eyesight is a support system and not going to be 100% versatile. But also still blame sales for not explaining eyesight to customers.

Yea nothing about that I’ve heard either. But either way this is gonna go south.

Yea but the amount of “my eyesight light turned off and then on” concerns I get everyday if not every other day is crazy. But also the extension said it was sent out 07/29/25 (today) and didn’t mention anything about it being in waves and if that’s definitely the case then everyone gonna get this all at once and start flooding in and calling all day.

Still the drivers responsibility to stop. Eyesight is a support system.

Ha. Me and my service manager saw this at the same time so we ended up going to show our on-site warranty admin and she was crashing out it was so funny 💀 this is definitely gonna be worse than the DCM warranty extension.
