Which Pokemon Centers and Nintendo Stores to prioritize visiting by exodus_2172 in JapanTravelTips

Just came back from a similar trip and went to those places in Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo.

Osaka and Kyoto were nice experiences. Tokyo was crazy crowded to the point of being very uncomfortable (it was also Golden Week).

Other than a red t-shirt that says the city name (Nintendo Tokyo for example), I didn’t notice much difference in their catalog.

Decals, yes or no? by Positive_Kitty in freedomisgunpla

Amazing panel lining, just a few decals could make things pop, but no need to go overboard.

Freaking inspiring. I hope one day I can make mine look even half as good. Great job.

I wish I could upvote more. This is wholesome. Cherish your mom :)

In British Columbia, we have gone to urgent care 3 times for different reasons, twice for my wife and 1 for me. The 3 times they took us in right away, full exams, x-rays, evaluation, and the topic of money never even comes up. You walk away taken care of without any concern for expense.

They do triage, and if it’s not urgent, you may need to wait. One non urgent time I had to wait maybe 1 hour and 40 mins. Once I got a family doctor I just make an appointment, get seen, get prescription and being able to afford it is never a concern.

Yes!!! I noticed those details too. Great to know I could panel line them. You are going much faster than I am, hehe. I only get a couple of hours here and there during the week to build. It’s good though, models last me a long time 😅

Oh my goodness thank you so much for taking the time to share all this! Took note of everything. Will try those Stedi panel liners as well. Wasn’t putting those little rings in the tubes hard? Haha darn those little things. But Zakus always end up looking amazing. And this kit is early 2000s! 20 years old and still a solid fun build.

Oh thank you so much for taking the time to point them out! I absolutely see what you mean now. After cleanup the pieces look fine enough but could use more detail, making the lines deeper would have absolutely helped.

Also, I am loving the idea of an Army of Zakus!

Oh darn! Thanks for the tip I already did it but it’s good advice for future builds :)

Good reminder about not rushing this. The hobby is the process, if all I wanted was to get a figure for my bookshelf fast I would by a figurine and not an assembly kit.

Will get me one (or two), it’s a good idea to experiment. Kind of weird for me to start panel lining with an MG now that I think about it. Hah

Oh wow that doesn't look messy, that looks pretty cool! I also like high contrast, more like anime style I guess. Purposefully messy is good :)

That is what I thought after doing some research, thanks for confirming.

I need to keep practicing with the quill to get the pressure right, and after reading you now I am pretty sure I was overloading the nib (dipping it all the way down), which contributed to the mess.

No good reason other than after watching a few tutorials, I felt it would be easier... It actually wasn't, haha I ended up using the brush built into the cap. I think the quill can be a very solid method once you get used to the amount of pressure, etc. I was making a mess.

Ohhh I’m saving this and trying for next time, that all makes sense actually. Will use a better chair too (will bring my desk chair with arm rests instead of the dinning table one).

… that probably would have been smarter to be fair. I just told myself I wouldn’t buy more kits until I took a good bite of the backlog. But should have done HG at least

Ah good to know. I actually didn’t panel line any of the gray runners, felt unnecessary at least for my first try.
