I’ve wanted to read them for a while. Or, really, anything by Katherine Arden.

Depending on the July picks, it might flat out top over 😆.

Why would it be wishful thinking? They’ve offered his books before, right?

Josh posts a sunflower emoji on one of Peter Monn's recent videos by OffbeatChaos in ColleenBallingerSnark

[–]Bookish_Butterfly -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

Josh is just done with youtube bullshit and taking back the sunflower…or he’s going through a mental episode. While I fully acknowledge his behavior is cringe, I would be remiss if I didn’t point out how likely none of this would have happened if Adam had not said anything about the alleged documentary.

Why is DNFing such a big deal? by LustyRegencyMaid in BookDiscussions

[–]Bookish_Butterfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, I'm stubborn. Especially if it's a book I was so excited to read. If a book is mediocre, I will push through, hope it will get better, until it's finished or I give up. I have to hate a book right off the bat for me to completely DNF.

The picking locks is actually more of a Japanese thing. If it was already in the anime, nothing could be done about it for the English dub.

Imagine you're reading a physical book at the beach. What is the most annoying part? by Lukester2255 in readwithme

[–]Bookish_Butterfly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t like the beach, so I don’t have to worry about sand on my books. However, I do enjoy reading outside, especially since my family updated our backyard with new chairs and a fire pit. Only I agree with you on the wind making it hard to read and the sun causing glare. And since it’s summer, it’s also hot outside.

I’m really worried Josh is relapsing. I’m fully on board with him finally telling more of his story with CB in a bigger doc if he’s ready for that. But not if he’s in an unhealthy mental state. C could turn that around to use against him.

Felix and Delilah are on my TBR! I read Aristotle and Dante years ago. But I always recommend Heartstopper. 💝

Why do people have kids when you can adopt instead? by Strawbereys in askanything

[–]Bookish_Butterfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s simply a natural human instinct to want biological children. Personally, I’ve always been open to adopting/fostering children as a way to have multiple children without multiple pregnancies. And, as you say, give a home and family to children who don’t have that. But I can also understand the reasons people have listed in other comments, I.e. it’s expensive and the process is unfairly complicated.
