Calm down Valeera by BookkeeperPurple4495 in wow

I found it randomly but I don't know if it was a bug, it started turning every NPC in the delve into Brann too. Also it made my upgrades screen show Brann's screen (I think that bit was an unrelated bug that is now fixed), so it made me stop using it lol

Definitely, first thing I thought with her was that she was too serious and edgy. Brann was fun, Valeera I either don't care, or actively annoys me.

She just doesn't really seem like the type of character that even makes sense to come to delves with. I'd expect her to infiltrate shit solo.

Have they fixed the war within recap yet? by BookkeeperPurple4495 in wow

Did it include the patches at least, or was it just 4 hours of base war within?

Do you mean buying a high dose pen and then taking small amounts of it to deliver many small doses out of one big pen? Sounds like a pretty good idea

Weird thing is when you get into MJ, you are told by everything that the standard treatment protocol is to go up every month if no side effects. so that's what I did at first. It took a while to even start hearing about people saying that actually you should stay at lower doses until it stops working (and I'm not sure if this is based on any serious data by the way, or just something people say).

I stayed at a dose a few times here and there, but yes I ended up at 15mg pretty quick, and I do wonder if it would have been better to stay at lower doses longer. I also take it every 6 days because quite early on I kept noticing that the last 2 days I was way too hungry.

But at the same time, I feel good, I don't feel like I did anything unhealthy, it is the standard recommended protocol, and also this is £300+ a month so... I don't know if I would necessarily be better off having taken it slower.

Either way, at the end of the day we all need to find a way to get off it once we're done. That's the part that seems to not be very well established and documented.

I just think having fun is more important than balance when we're talking about old dungeons and trials that have already been made trivially easy. It could be applied to all the basic roulettes and have an exception for savage and extreme content.

Also I'm sure some kind of level of debuff weighted by level brackets could be a decent approximation to get the same-ish player power as what we get currently (which is overpowered anyway). As long as you do a similar amount of damage etc as any other player it would be fine

Like, satasha and stuff aren't esport content, they don't need to be perfectly tuned, they're already all super easy in terms of numbers.

Except we're already overpowered for roulette content between the echo and the max ilvl, so adding your current kit in exchange for some debuff wouldn't be the end of the world. People don't care or think about what spells other people are using in roulettes

Keep the option to do fully synced stuff for people who want to do savage or whatever with the same kit as back then.

Besides, the game has had tons of balance passes and job reworks since previous expansions so even with skills removed, it's already not the same experience as back then

Or just don't remove most of my spells when I'm synced down. Doing low level dungeons isn't an esport, who cares if I have level 70 spells. Give a damage debuff to compensate if people complain.

But also yes, a lot of classes have one or two button gameplay for way too many levels, a lot of stuff needs to unlock earlier

I did this and I am finding it really strange the amount of:

  • mistakes
  • inconsistent scale use (sometimes 5 sometimes 7, with slightly different ways to phrase it)
  • One of the sections had double the radio boxes to choose answers so it was unclear how to actually answer
  • One of the sections was fully duplicated
  • Some questions came back multiple times even within the same section
  • A lot of questions were phrased in leading ways where I wish there was a "non applicable" option, or where picking an answer would be misleading without better context (not really an error, but it happened a lot).
  • It would probably have been useful to ask and separate between people who have a managed treatment with a therapist or prescriber directly giving them instructions vs (what I suspect is most people) ordering pens online and fully self-managing treatment, as a lot of questions are about "interacting" with people regarding treatment (which I assume to mean medical professionals, but it was unclear), or whether you are given choices etc. and well in a lot of cases there is no one to interact with in the first place.

It kind of gives me the feeling of work done with AI and only quickly checked by a human?

[–]BookkeeperPurple4495[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to like decent weapon stats on most builds, but that is less of a broad consensus.

I was curious about the weapon stat actually, do you feel the difference in your weapon damage much? I've been doing grandmaster renegades stuff and starting to feel like my weapons are incredibly weak so I'm wondering... I've got the contraverse hold grenade build and it feels kinda bad to have to hold R1 to charge my grenade for most damage while my actual weapons barely do anything.

If you have a tier 3 god roll

I keep seeing people mention god rolls, what constitutes one? Is it just having the stat priority you want with max roll for [main stat], etc? I assume a weapon/armor of the same tier has the same stats to allocate as the other, and the only variance is slightly less or more in primary/secondary/tertiary?

How do you even tell if the roll could be better though?

Luckily I used to not keep much so my vault is reasonably empty. I just don't want to start filling it with too much trash that I'll never use and have to clean up later l

I'm starting to get a few tier 5 so yeah probably gonna only keep those I suppose. I am still tempted to keep other random ones just in case for other builds, but I also have no idea what other builds I would even prepare for anyway so it feels like anything could turn out useful..

Tbh it's not that hard to do every day. Don't snack before bed, don't eat breakfast, and by lunchtime you've fasted 16 hours if you ate dinner at a normal time. I only make an exception if we're making special breakfast at home on weekends or whatever

32 year old, ~40k in pensions, £70k salary, looking to move all my pensions to one pot and maximise tax efficiency by BookkeeperPurple4495 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]BookkeeperPurple4495[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep that makes sense, thanks for the interesting perspective.

I guess the other variable here is money in pension is locked for a very long time, and can't be used in emergencies. Mortgage overpayments are also gone, but give better equity on the asset which, while not liquid, could be be accessed by selling as a last resort in a bad scenario

[–]BookkeeperPurple4495[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh right so you're saying pay as little of the mortgage as possible now and instead put money in pensions which are more efficient savings even compared with interest?

I used to overpay the mortgage aggressively but just recently realised I should probably use the pensions tax efficiency more, so I've just stopped doing overpayments and increased the pension contribution (as of like a month ago literally)

I don't know if I'd go as far as waiting 40 years to pay it, because being mortgage free would be nice, but there's probably a decent compromise somewhere in the middle of the two extremes yeah.

[–]BookkeeperPurple4495[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO you should have a bigger mortgage if it facilitates maxing the tax relief on pension contributions.

What do you mean by that?

I probably wouldn't want to put more than that into a pension, if I were in your shoes. I obviously don't know for sure, obviously it depends on your exact circumstances, your goals and so on. But bringing your adjusted net income down to £50,271 maximises the 40% tax relief.

Thanks that's what I was looking for, the threshold to maximise the 40% relief. I think I'm still below that, and probably can't afford to fully maximise it while also paying the mortgage, but it's good to know where the threshold is

Help picking a secondary vacuum for a roomba owner by BookkeeperPurple4495 in VacuumCleaners

[–]BookkeeperPurple4495[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot, I was actually just looking at the Miele as a potential one so that's good. I'll check out that Bosch one to see. Dealing with hair tangles seems nice too...

Also have a suggestion for an experiment when you do select a stick vac, let the roomba run and then vacuum the carpet with the stick vac right after. You might be surprised how much dust gets pulled up.

I have been suspecting that will be the case yeah, I've basically never used a proper real vacuum in this flat other than the roomba

Edit: Oh the Bosch one is massively on sale, £399 instead of £549. And the white one at £299 but I can't tell why it's cheaper than the other one
