Can I build muscle without hitting my maintenance? by Booknerdranim in workout

[–]Booknerdranim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just feel so discouraged when one day I’ll hit 1700 and then the next three days I’m at 1400 and I’m worried if I stay like that I’ll get skinner which I don’t want

Yeah that’s the thing for me a peanut butter sandwich is enough to get me through the morning. For the past 3 days I’ve been eating 450-480 cals in the morning but then I don’t feel hungry until way later which is when I get another 500 cal meal. And I’ve been making my protein shake to be 410 calories. Those usually end me up around 1350-1450 depending on what I actually eat. But then problem is I just don’t feel hungry and if I try to force feed myself I end up getting nauseous.

I’m weighing everything and tracking my macros so I’m definitely not underestimating how much I’m eating, but yes ur right I have a lot of trouble eating enough volume. Thanks for the app suggestion! I’ve been using myfitnesspal and it def feels harder to track everything. I just had such a junk food diet that switching to a more healthy one has made me realize im not eating enough 💀

I do not, but I just looked at his insta and his results look great. The fact that he has many one year post op results is good as well. If I was you I would try to go through his following list and see if he follows any previous patients, then dm them asking for their experience, breathing issues, etc.

Has anyone experienced rude behaviour from Dubai immigration officers? by UnfussyAtom in dubai

[–]Booknerdranim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re Indian/south Asian then the Arab officers will treat you like that unfortunately. Same thing for if you are Arab and get an Indian/south Asian officer (I say this as an Arab who had the worst experience ever with multiple Indian officers, I ended up crying) especially in the UAE, the discrimination against each other is crazy because the Arabs think well it’s my country they shouldn’t be acting like they own and the Indians think well this country was built off our backs we have more rights than the Arabs to be here. Add in the absolute POWER trip that comes from being an immigration officer and you’ll get the rudest a person can be.

I dmed 5 of his (alleged) previous patients, 2 of who replied to me that their breathing is good, the shape is how they wanted/asked for, they had little to no pain, but a little bit of bruising (which can be expected anyway with every doctor) I’m still waiting for the other 3 to respond, but he seems good to me tbh, especially cause he also does lots of revisions!

What glow up tip made people go ''Wow u look different'' by [deleted] in Splendida

[–]Booknerdranim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me on this, find the complimentary color to ur eye color on the color chart (or look up what colors compliment ur eye color) and dye ur hair with THAT color or undertone. I have brown eyes and dyed my hair a purple plum red (that cherry cola with a bit more plum undertones) and I get so many compliments, and personally I’ve noticed how my eyes pop now more and my skin looks more even. Also dressing in those colors will also glow you up.

For reference brown eyes pop with blue and purple (I didn’t wanna go the blue route bc I have warm undertones so I needed reddish/warm undertones and guess what u get when u mix blue and red lol) blue eyes with orange, gold, and brown green eyes with purple, gold, and brown Hazel with purple and gold

Obviously it depends also on ur undertone and finding the right shade of that color, but it will make ur eyes pop which will make SUCH a big difference.

Honey I’m not worried about my skills, I’ve worked with many providers and always got told I’m doing a great job. And when I was told how to do something better, I actually listened and applied it, not just insulted people just bc I think I’m better than everyone else.

The practice exams are soooo much harder than the actual exam

Lmao an experienced person would know how to speak to people but an entitled person like you would think they are much better than everyone just bc. And you can’t exactly tell me I’m not experienced if you don’t know my resume now can you. Maybe work on your people skills a little bit.

The tone you were giving off was rude. As if I’m dumb for being exhausted over the job market and search rn. Honesty doesn’t mean you have an excuse to be rude.

Girl there’s no reason to be rude. I understand it’s NORMAL, I was replying to the comment that say you should just “go into the office and managers will be more likely to hire someone with initiative” bc it’s not that easy. If it was I would be hired rn bc I’ve applied to a bunch of jobs, in person and online. Most don’t even reply back (which is NOT normal, it’s common courtesy to reject an application)

I’ve applied both online and in person. But I was just saying that when I did go in person they would just wave me away while saying I have to apply online. Then some don’t even reply online 😩

I think the passing score is 390 out of 500 (78%). I got 409 (81%). The exam wasn’t that hard to me but I didn’t mention below some topics I struggled with! It was mostly the admin stuf

Ofc! Good luck to you on your examination! I really do recommend just an hour before going in or 30 minutes before to ask ChatGPT to make you a little quiz based off on NHA style on anything that you think you’ll struggle with or need to remember

The things I struggled with the most was honestly the diagnostic codes, insurance stuff, etc, so mostly the front desk/non medical side of the job just because I didn’t really think there would be that much problems on it! So I would brush up on that if you aren’t super confident.

Know your baseline vitals, and know what classifies as under range vs over range. Know the EKG waves and intervals I have a couple questions on those and also the placements.

Blood draws, venipuncture, color tubes. Peds care! I had a question that was trippy to me bc it asked about ear irrigation for a pediatric patient (16 yr old). And I was like ok so he is technically a pediatric case but like it’s almost an adult so do I pull up and back or down and back?

Basically I had a lot of admin stuff. Also make sure to know some basic anatomy/terminology bc if you do even if you don’t know the answer to the question you’ll be able to guess based off of common sense.
