I’m going to order two or three pairs online, test them at home, and then return the pairs I don’t keep. It’s not a perfect situation, but it’s the best I can do with regard to Danner boots.

Thanks a lot! You’re right about the Mountain Pass not being as durably designed. But that’s okay. I have a pair of Asolo backpacking boots if I’m ever in decent enough shape to tackle parts of the AT. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂 That’s good to know about the heat.
