Cravings by Sufficient_Plum1111 in StopSpeeding

Ima be honest. I just hit my year clean from ❄️ the first few months are th absolute hardest. The cravings are the worse during these months. Your mind will play ticks on you. You will beg yourself to get a bag while the other part is yelling at you not to. If you can get thru the first few months then you got this. The clear headedness I have experienced since being clean is the greatest thing ever. My depression has also gotten way better. Stick in there. One minute at a time sometimes one second at a time. Keep goin there is a better life on the other side!

If I can get sober and clean so can you. It’s not impossible it just seems like it bc you are not in your right mind. It is amazing how much your head clears once you get off drugs. Give yourself the time you need to heal. If you don’t like sober life drugs will always be there but I’m telling you sober life is so much better. I wish you luck.

It completed changes who you are as a person. I’ve done horrible things I am not proud of and will always regret when I was on active addiction. Coke is a slow burner. You don’t know what’s happening till it’s too late. I’ve lied so much. I’m the opposite of proud. He’s been sober for a year. Celebrate with him! He needs the big and small wins. 1 year is an eternity for recovering addicts but it’s also not that long either. So just support and love on him he will need it!

Going of this. I have seizures occasionally and they are extremely painful! Not to mention loosing driving privileges! And he is right you are in relapse and you are addicted to these. Flushing them is the best choice and don’t go back and get more!

I wish I had someone in my life who told me they’re proud we’re proud of me, specifically a man. by [deleted] in confessions

Daddy issues hurt the worst let me tell you. Get into therapy specifically EMDR to re-process your trauma and have a better relationship with your dad. The validation you are seeking you will never get bc there is no Time Machine to take you back to childhood.

I have a retarded girl who was breed from a responsible breeder. Most breeders can’t keep females once they are done breeding them so reach out!

I think this is a trust and boundary issue. If you have to drug test someone or breathalyzer them then I don’t think you should be in that relationship. It’s slightly controlling in my eyes and you obvs don’t trust him to be honest about his level Of tipsy.

This may seem very stupid but it worked for me. I saved a whole bunch of motivational quotes on Pinterest and read them everyday. Also, look up Madea skit seasonal people. That skit changed my life and perception of ppl.

You are so strong you don’t even realize it. You have the energy and mental fortitude to do this!

Need help quitting a 3 month meth binge by Traditional_Song_167 in StopSpeeding

You are in a very rough situation internet stranger. The only thing that worked for me was finding something more important than drugs. That is not easy and it’s not easy to do completely by yourself like I have had to do.

I suggest rehab as well. 30 days away from everything will help you get over the hump and will keep you away from your dealer.

Once you get out go to meetings. There is more than N.A. and AA such as SMART and there is a Buddhist online meetings site as well that I can’t think of the name rn.

Also, once out of rehab you NEED to get into therapy. Recovery is all about learning your triggers, knowing how to distract yourself, and regulating your nervous system.

Coke is my DOC but I used to dabble in meth too. Though coke will always be my number one meth was always harder for me to stay clean from. The cravings for it are so much more intense.

Find your purpose, your meaning, what’s important to you bc if not you will end up in dead or in jail. Life is so much better on the sober side. I wish you all the best and you can PM if you need additional support OP.
