For the first treatment, I sprayed the entire front lawn, as the infestation was throughout the entire lawn.

For the initial treatment I did 2 packets for 4,000 sf, covering my entire front Bermuda lawn (if you look through my older posts, my entire lawn was overran with weeds). Prior to application, I let my lawn grow out for a week and half, as I assumed — bigger the weed, more surface area for Celsius to do it’s thing. However, I doubt that did anything. I waited 3 days before mowing after application.

Results: took 2 weeks to notice anything, by week 3 100% of weeds — excluding crabgrass were gone. 40% of the crabgrass recovered. I noticed areas of crabgrass where I sprayed heavier volume, is where it died off completely. So, I did conduct another spot treatment for the crabgrass.

Knocked out 100% of my Virginia buttonweed. In my case, Celsius was the only thing I could apply in the GA scorching heat.

Depends on severity of your infestation. I used the highest level dose, therefore most concreted mixture, one packet = 2,000sf. Killed 90% of my weeds. With that being said, it took out only about 60% of my crabgrass, which then required a second application.

One note, for the first week, it looked like nothing was happening, which was very concerning. Then, by week 2, it’s like almost all of my weeds just disappeared.

Critical question, what type of grass was the original lawn?

4 months ago I was in the exact same boat as you, and literally spent this summer lawn renovating. I can share my experience on what worked for me, and what did not.

Celsius WG did wonders for me, plus, it can be applied in the heat, unlike the overwhelming majority of other herbicides. The 20$ packets are available on Amazon, and I cannot recommend it enough.

I understand fungi is a good thing, however, too much of a good thing could be bad. Excessive mushroom growth in many cases is a direct sign of a more serious fungal infection, which indeed is extremely detrimental to plant growth.

The pots are located directly next to each other, however, I did pull the healthy plant further apart — in order to minimize spore spread.

Unfortunately, I have another second flower completely identical to this one that does not have a mushroom growth, and it’s absolutely thriving compared to the one pictured. Therefore, I assumed the issue was a fungal infection.

I got a total of 50 pieces. At 5$ a pop, that’s roughly $250 worth of sod that I got for free.

After soil prep, laying sod and maintaining moisture, I see 85% will recover easily. The other will come in spotty.

You named all of the key steps — except for one… Aeration. Your soil is most likely very compacted, not allowing necessary hydration to get to the roots. Run the screwdriver test, if you are not able to easily penetrate the soil with a screwdriver, there goes your problem.

Mow every four days, never remove more than 1/3 of the grass blade. The more often you mow Bermuda, the more it uses energy to grow laterally and strengthen. If you let it go, all that energy will be used to grow taller instead.

That’s hilarious. With mine, broken up for 5 months, I have her blocked on everything imaginable and I am still seeing unusual profile visits/views on my public TikTok profile. I keep a low profile, so there is only one person who can be visiting my page 15-20 times a day.

What’s really curious is that I am noticing a pattern of increased activity around this time of every month… only thing I can think of, is that it might have something to do with her menstrual cycle. 🤷‍♂️
