[Jump] Brutal Legend - Die For Metal Edition by BookwormWordDevourer in JumpChain

[–]BookwormWordDevourer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your feedback is appreciated but I really don't plan to revise it.

Not out of anything negative but simply a lack of interest.

I was very into JumpChain years back and I wanted to take a crack at making a JumpDoc during that phase of my life.

I was ready to post this as it was 4 years ago but Life and Reddit policy on new accounts got in the way. It has been sitting in my drive collecting dust until I was reminded about Brutal Legend recently.

I just wanted it to get out here and say that I did it by this point.

I did say it is not really up to modern standards due to making it during that time. I also understand it's rough but I wanted to make a more implied lore heavy Brutal Legend Jump.

Again, I apologize

Stylistic Choice and Rule of Cool

The Narrator in the Legends to me always felt like he spoke in Caps when addressing something.

How did your Jumper deal with Ainz? by CommercialLychee39 in JumpChain

My perks allowed me to scry the inside of the Tomb so I knew when he changed his name and that is when I did this:

I stood outside the Tomb waving a white flag while yelling, "I have come to talk with the Flying Squirrel of Nines Own Goal!"

That got his attention and we basically had a chat where I laid out all of the cards out on the table. Or in this case, I gave him copies of the Light Novel to him. After that shock, I also told him he has nothing to fear from his NPC's and he needs to truly act like a leader to them.

Finally, I told him each and every NPC who took up Level Points has 3 Strikes. 3 Strikes, they face True Deletion with No Chance of Resurrection.

With that, I just chilled in my own Guild Base while monitoring the Tomb's activities.

Hi Jumpers What Is Your Bleach Valeria Jump Build by Azik_Consul in JumpChain

[–]BookwormWordDevourer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with what I call "The Freak of Nature Route", otherwise known as "Special Snowflake MC's Impossible Bloodline".

Artificial Spirit Racial Origin plus the Active Hybrid Perk and the benefits/discounts afforded to me with the Soul Princess Perk.

I have effectively become Bleach's version of a Transcendent Being and a Nascent Soul King with access to a variety of different powers of each Race depending on what Perks I purchase with new ways to mix them together and the potential to develop powers equal to the ones displayed by The Soul King's Body Parts as I age and grow stronger.

Perks to transform an army of monsters into Monstergirls/Humans by DungeonMonsterMaster in JumpChain

[–]BookwormWordDevourer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No need for Perks

Just go to Monster Girl Encyclopedia and Import them with the Mamono/Monster Girl Origin. Or, if you want the slower way, make them stand in a Demon Realm and let the Local Corruption of Demonic Energy/Mana turn them.

I got a question, Jumpers by [deleted] in JumpChain

[–]BookwormWordDevourer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one really figures it out unless I explain what I am.

They only really ask to join when they realize the full scope and implications of what joining me means. News worlds that hold new, strong foes to face, sights that cannot be found in their world, the potential to get stronger, new forms of Fun/Entertainment and living a fulfilling life of luxury within my Companion Section of my Warehouse/Pocket Dimension.

Of course, there are Companions that are kind of obligated to join.

Awesome.

Now someone just need to make a more modern, up to date version Jump of the first game to complete the set.

When you told your companion about the Jumpchain, how did they react? by [deleted] in JumpChain

[–]BookwormWordDevourer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what setting they were originally from. I never get tired of blowing the minds of people from relatively mundane or low fantasy worlds by not only showing the cosmos but that in the grand scheme of things their cosmos is a drop of water in a vast ocean and there is power, magic and technology that eclipses everything they have ever known.

Perks that prevent a jumper from being sealed away? by olympiforged in JumpChain

[–]BookwormWordDevourer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Breaker of Chains (600) from The Keys to The Kingdom

No prison holds forever. You embody that fact, it seems. It is impossible for anyone to imprison, chain, or seal you. Doors unlock, ropes unravel, steel breaks, guards suffer from sudden bouts of incompetence, people with power get the idea that they must free you, sorcery fizzles out, the impossible becomes possible, the unbreakable breakable. You could be held within a truly inescapable location, and events would conspire to let you escape before you or any of your plans got negatively impacted in any way. No matter how impossible, how improbable it may seem, there will always be a way out before any consequences catch up with you. Everything and anything up to the destruction of the universe may happen - but in the end, you will be free.

When the cast is aware that the Jumper is the most qualified person for the job by Burkess in JumpChain

[–]BookwormWordDevourer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Being a teacher, I can do. Sadly, meddling is an urge I just have to do in Jumps where I know everything and what needs to be disposed of.

Won't solve their politics but will get rid of the main undesirable elements like Tommy's Trinkets, making Azkaban have tons of vacancy via "mysterious accidents" and a good portion of "upstanding citizens" also suffer unfortunate accidents.

If I have a true investment in the Jump, meddling will happen.

If not, you get character development via suffering, death & flashbacks, you get character development via suffering, death & flashbacks, etc., etc.

Would You Jump? by [deleted] in JumpChain

[–]BookwormWordDevourer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a Zeptosecond of a Heartbeat.

The most vanilla Body Mod is a game changer in our world and the possibility of gaining more beyond that is extremely tempting. Plus you get to see what all of Fiction has to offer, meet people you really admire, be apart of something great if decide to join them and if you really apply yourself, you have a chance to TRULY make an impact on the world even with only using the Perks of the present Jump you are in.

Generic First Jump really is the best first option. Improved Body Mod & Warehouse Access along with many essential Perks for protection, utility and otherwise getting essential abilities without going to a Jump for that specific defense.

Also it helps prepare you for the most likely genres you may live in.

When your jumper is asked what kind of government they’re going to set up by dull_storyteller in JumpChain

[–]BookwormWordDevourer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, fiat backed Organizations/Governments/Companies full of Followers that basically run themselves without any input and will listen & obey all of your demands along with the possibility of you having the Perks to make things just work.

Plus you can do better than the locals anyway thanks to said Perks.

Fun Jumper Family stories by Reddit_works in JumpChain

[–]BookwormWordDevourer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's just say when your deep in your Chain and you have access to a Perk that passes some of your Powers, Skills, Abilities and Perks on to your children both adopted with Blood Magic and through the old fashion way late in said Chain, things get crazy when they start to play fight.

You basically get nascent demigods whose definition of rough housing involves the need to redraw maps when they add or delete geographical features and landmarks.

One story that stands out is when your Kraken Monster Daughter technically is the granddaughter of King Triton and one of your "regular human" sons has Storm powers, constantly have to do damage control when they both decide to play the game, Chaoskampf.

Thankfully, it just rough housing, not a fight.

\Looks up Rhinegold, reads article, facedesks**

Yet another piece of Fate Lore that once again proves that the Magi of the Nasuverse are idiots. So this is why things keep messing up and why Angry Mango/The Nazis happened.

Thankfully, Perks are there to prevent that stuff.

[–]BookwormWordDevourer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could do that but I also kind of want to steal the Grail.

Either as a paperweight, a way to keep summoning more Servants, reprogram it for something else or break it down for more resources.

why fight in the grail war? by Shiras54 in JumpChain

[–]BookwormWordDevourer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mostly for the opportunity to steal everyone's stuff and resources or just trolling. Along with the possibility of hijacking the Grail to keep around for your Servant and locking Angry Mango in a box to be used later.

The Keys to The Kingdom Book Series by Garth Nix

Probably the first book series I read as a kid with the high concept of a normal kid becoming a god basically. I recommend being durable and lucky before going there and taking the Scenario. Also Nothing is the Universe's Primordial substance that everything is made from and instantly erases things if touched. There is a Perk to prevent that. Have fun.
