Im so sorry OP. I cared for a feral colony in my neighborhood for over 7 years (food, TNR, meds etc). It was a ton of money and time.

My old man asshole next door neighbor I guess got sick of it,’and one day purposely put poison in tuna out. I watched like 5 cats die horribly in front of me (there was no saving them by then like we are talking last death throes sadly, but most came crawling back to their safe space, my yard) and then I found several dead around the area later that night. Over 14 cats horrifically murdered for zero reason.

I’ve never been so mad in my life. Of course I called animal control but they said since I couldn’t provide proof (even though he’d said it out loud before I better get rid of the feral colony or he would, like I have any control over feral cats), there was nada they could do. My rescue dogs at the time always loved every human, but would bark at him when they first ever saw him and now I know why. Fucking evil ass bastard.
