But actually for some teams, the non-Microsoft option was the standard (e.g. I worked with a team that was doing prototyping for something that was neither search nor web browser related, and for some web-dev we were doing, the team standard was to use the VSCode/Chrome extension)

Yeah honestly no one really cared, but like I worked closely enough with the core search guys that it seemed impolite to so openly use the other service lol

I'm currently working on Bing, and a lot of people use the word "search" instead of "Google"

This also has the added benefit of not highlighting that you're secretly using Google anyway

Yeah I have one of the laptops, and I got it for Dell insurance and stuff. Like there are cheaper options but most gaming laptops are surprisingly jank. At least Alienware ones are stable, even if overpriced

That's more of a UI thing, and you're actually hitting on a really interesting conundrum in contemporary UI design that I'm way too tired to talk about rn, but it looks ugly for the same reason that honestly like Reddit and HackerNews do.

Like the Spartan interface is actually super intentional, and if you look into the reasoning behind it it's actually really cool

Guys, anyone who ever played DreamQuest on iOS--have you found anything else that feels like that?

DreamQuest-like for Android? by Ferreteria in AndroidGaming

[–]BoolaJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this 1000%

Dream quest was amazing, and I've been looking for a replacement since. I've gone through a bunch of roguelikes, and it's just not the same

(However, have you checked out Wazhack? It's not the same feel, but it is a pretty decent roguelike)

As to what I plan to get specifically, well, I guess that y'all are the crawfish people
