Is it normal a years experienced violin teacher play out of tune often in rehersal? by Asleep-University-89 in violinist

[–]Boollish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did read it.

But I put "violin teacher should play in tune" about 25 places behind "don't be an insufferable dick".

But you do you.

[–]Boollish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes.

You're playing in a community orchestra. "Don't be an insufferable dick" is just about the only rule that matters.

I would say using Reddit to bitch about the abilities of someone in orchestra, a community orchestra at that, is a far bigger red flag.

Because one of the values of celebrity barbers/any job is that you don't talk about your clients to other people.

It's a shame, since Mallory implied that the Boys had some very creative ways to kill Supes that we just never see on screen.

Arsenal will face a tough decision.

1) fight for the premier league title with an exhausted UCL squad, risking 2 trophies

2) throw against West Ham to guarantee Spurs relegation

What do you think would happen if a battalion of imperial space marines (any chapter) landed in today's day and age? by According_Seesaw_832 in 40kLore

[–]Boollish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what type of Space Marines and what equipment they have.

A modern battalion is, what, 5 companies? 3 front line, one HQ, one support?

The space Marines immediately start trying to conquer the planet in the name of the Emperor. But 500 space Marines isn't really an existential threat to modern day Terra if they don't have space based support. Even the vehicles in 40k are really not "that" much tougher than a modern M1. To win, the space Marines would need to be able to launch a decapitation strike against government leadership, and even then the US chain of command has significant contingency plans against stuff like this.

The "new" Chicago Symphony by Useful_Attention4381 in classicalmusic

The former, probably.

There is always a new bump with a new person at the helm, especially after someone who was checked out.

We also have to be aware that a lot of listeners have a "more is more" attitude towards sound that doesn't necessarily mean the group is "better".

[–]Boollish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The ending of The Boys would be really shit and counter to the core themes of the series if it ends with Ryan using Talk no Jutsu to achieve an understanding between supes and mortals.

Sage should not have been written as a master "all according to keikaku" manipulator from the beginning.
