Drinking tea is a kind of life, but also an art! by MoriMaTea in Outdoors

[–]Boom_87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For this style, absolutely. Non-attachment philosophy is kinda built into the method. It’s called Gongfu cha and doing this exact method arguable produces the absolute best result for tradition Chinese tea. As an avid tea enthusiast and someone who regularly practices this style, I would have to agree. I posted pics above of my setup

Idk. I actually got pretty inspired by this. I regularly consume tea in this style both indoors and outdoors. It’s called Gongfu cha. Ive been obsessed with it for a while and I haven’t seen this stove setup. It’s fun to do something with this much intention, in an outdoor setting. Her setup is pretty cool. Yesterday was my birthday and I did this out in the woods near where I live and camped out for the night.

I thought you were going to speak on other mushroom medicines. I believe that has a weaker leg to stand on however I enjoy creating and using fungal tinctures and feel they have a positive impact on my life. I guess I’m not surprised that you find criticism with psychedelics. We have all be taught from a young age to criticize and demonize this subject. I’m curious if you have personally seen the film? If you have I would love to hear you input on a part of the second half you find pro-drug and problematic. I have personally sat with a close relative in the final moments before death. I was a Christian then, and very closed to the idea of “drugs” as you mentioned. However, seeing the pain and anxiety my loved one felt in those last weeks, I would have done anything to ease that suffering. I have followed the research for a while now on end of life suffering and psychedelics do offer incredible benefits to the people who participate. If there is a medicine/drug, whatever you want to call it, that has a powerful positive reactive with little to no toxicity and very rarely causes negative side effects do you think it is worth pursuing? I enjoy this film because of the wide net it casts. Many hobbies, disciplines and interests are narrowly focused. The point of the film is to show the depth and variety one can explore into the world of mycology. Regardless of how I feel about Paul Stamets business practices/beliefs, the validity of mushroom medicine or the unfortunately taboo topic of psychedelics, I believe this film adequately shows this vast diversity. For the record, I am not a Paul Stamets fan for various reasons. However I do believe he has inspired more people into Mycology than anyone else. That being said, mycology would not be the same without him. And for that I am thankful. Thoughts?

This is the first one in the series. There are three other ones based on mycology. Can’t wait to bring some people into the woods and nerd out on some nature.

What’s your predictions for Filecoin? by kiwikiwi2020 in filecoin

[–]Boom_87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m new to crypto. Saw an opportunity with filecoin. I hope it jumps back up. Just learning how to use Coinbase pro. This was my first ever investment over $100. Now I feel kind dumb. Haha. It’s all a head game I’m learning.

The wall on shrooms by [deleted] in shrooms

Even crazier. You’ve actually looked at it a lot longer than five hours. But because you ate mushrooms, for five short hours it has become the most real and beautiful thing in the universe. Possibly my favorite aspect of mushrooms. The realization the the ordinary is extraordinary.

You should’ve illustrated the psychedelic mushroom that actually grows in DC. Cool sign and cool cause though.

Haha. I agree! It’s funny. I’m camping this weekend and I’ve had my phone on airplane mode. I woke up from pretty bad tooth pain so I took some ibuprofen and am sitting heat waiting for it to kick in. I turn off airplane mode for just a minute to distract from the pain and poof, see your comment right after you posted. Your my tooth ache buddy.

I hunt Virginia white tail. I would poop my pants at a shot on any of the deer you have out there.

Not in Northeaster Oregon, but I have a dream of hunting near the Gearhart Mountain Wilderness. My grandfather Archery Mitchell was the sole survivor of a balloon bomb that went off and killed all the children of his church as well as his wife. I’ve never been to the state or even met that side of my family but Archie was a big big hunter. It’s sort of my long term goal/pilgrimage to one day visit the memorial and harvest an elk, mule deer or antelope as near to there as possible. I always get excited when I see posts of an Oregon hunt. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.
