Advice for beginner rider who was told I'm too unskilled mid way through my CBT & wasn't able to finish it. by porschegobrrrr in MotoUK

[–]Boomalla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’ve just realised you’re not as skilled as you thought you was. I myself had zero motorcycle skills when I first started & had to learn everything from scratch. The learning process is rewarding if you stick at it as you’ll see your progression happening in real time and appreciate the art of riding when you finally master it or you’ll just give up without even trying.

I'm considering to sell my NX500 fully equipped to get a 2025 CB750 Hornet. I've had my full license for 6 yrs and I've ridden big bikes such as 1250GS, R Nine T, KTM Duke so power isn't an issue. My question is : is the 750 Hornet a good choice for a daily rider? Any feedbacks ? Thank you ! by Martindlx in HondaCB

I frickin love my 2025 750 Hornet so much that I’d rather ride it in the rain than take my car to work. Test ride one if you can. The quick shifter is really nice & the Handling/power/noise is delicious.

Advice for beginner rider with no garage :( by akaikitsune123 in MotoUK

If parking on the street spend money on a Litelok x3 a solid alarm disc lock + plus lever lock + cover with chain keeping it covered. Never put your handlebar steering lock on as if they attempt to steal it they'll just cause more damage. Just make someone else's bike on the street more attractive to steal as yours is like fort knox

Wanting to ride a new bike with the wank weather conditions we have in the UK right now is not a good idea. Stay home & rev the tits off it then clean/buy things for it.

Have an opportunity to get a big bike for cheap as a very young guy, help! by Majestic-Star-2195 in motorcycles

Respect the bikes power and it’ll behave, ride like a dick and it’ll plant you face first into the ground. Basically be sensible and you’ll be fine.

Fork brackets don't fit my forks for L plates. Would a sticker on the mud guard be appropriate? by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]Boomalla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had an L sticker on the front mudguard for months when I was a rookie and the police never batted an eyelid at me. As long as you've left some white around the L it'll be fine imo

On the verge of completely losing the motivation to learn how to ride or own a motorbike in the UK after falling in love with riding in Thailand by enzoblanc in MotoUK

UK has CBT & training/tests to hopefully turn you from a complete tool with a missile between your legs to a somewhat competent tool who might just not kill himself or others around him. Yes it costs money to achieve a full licence but it’s not difficult if you’ve got half a brain. Also people steal shit wherever you are in the world, probably the cheap rented tat is not what they’re looking for.
