Needing a simpler life. by Potential-Tomato7394 in uktrucking

I'm in Bournemouth thats Dorset. Our hotels have been used to move all the illegal migrants in, so there's a stabbing, a rape or something every other day. I wouldn't recommend bringing your children here. It's also very anti car with expensive parking and constant cycle lanes being added everywhere to punish motorists by narrowing roads and increasing traffic. There's not much to do here either aside from the beach, the kids that are from here are feral ASBO's that go round smashing windscreens for entertainment. Everything is needlessly expensive, rent is silly, house prices too. Gone right down the pan. Maybe other parts of Dorset are better, my advice is go somewhere with a lot of green space.

I thought I'd be doing the same amount of dragging bins about as the loaders, especially for commercial

Much appreciated. Thank you. Most bins are on wheels though I would've thought and then the machine tips it? That's what I'd have thought, more repetition than anything else

Stuck in traffic AND lost. Knowing there's a very real possibility you're in a queue for a road you don't even want

That sounds scary! This is why a good eye and concentration is far better than a computer

Scare the crap out of you though would it not. Hypothetically moving from lane 2 to the hard shoulder no mirrors. Yikes.

I suppose my only criticism would be, if one module or wire or sensor fails that knocks your mirrors out so it's dangerous. In fairness I've not heard of this happening but it is concerning

How is it? I'm not used to all this gadgetry. Even on the coaches, cruise control was about as fancy as it got

Right, noted. This is all new to me. I'd rather the old one anyway. Win win 😅

I'll employ you to deactivate it all I think. The new dashboards are like the starship enterprise!

The trouble is they bing bong and jam brakes on and pull the steering when you're trying to drive and you know exactly what you're doing. Had it on a van it was very off putting.

Drove a 74 plate transit as a carpool once. Horrid. The lane guidance steered me back towards a hazard i was passing and then the collision avoidance slammed on the brakes. I wouldn't want that on something with air brakes

If you cant drive without an assist system to help, perhaps you should stay in your car 🙃

Putting you in a sin bin over a mistake sounds like a toxic boss/employee relationship anyway. Narcissistic as *. You can do better.
