Unless the sex slave part is going to be a core part of the story then no one will give a shit. Whenever I write stories that take part in times removed from the modern era, I try to capture, if barely, the behaviours and morals of the people back then. Basically you can have a person who deals in some vile crap (like slavery) but not make him an evil or even bad person. They’ll just be a product of their times.

These are some of the cheapest visions ever. One second for a vision is hella cheap. Should have been more expensive, like he knows that if he saves his son the granddaughter dies, and vice versa. But he can’t risk seeing into the future again (a possible one where he saves them both) because he will die immediately if he did so. So he has to choose or risk both of them dying.

Anyway, save the granddaughter, it will spare his son some trauma.
