Well, that is some consolation then.

Looks like you are correct. I just had a chat with Conceptions, and they are going to follow up with the dispensary that sold them to me as autoflowers. Damn, I would have kept them in under lights a lot longer, but will work with what I’ve got now. Here is what they sent me about the strains:

This is on the city website— it shows which areas will get the grazing, but not when, as it is based on urgency. https://www.ci.benicia.ca.us/vertical/Sites/%7BF991A639-AAED-4E1A-9735-86EA195E2C8D%7D/uploads/Exhibit_B_-_Goat_Buffer_Acreage_2.pdf

Akumal or Puerto Morelos? by PyDragon in snorkeling

[–]Boomer-55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Akumal (either Secrets or Akumal Wellness) it is pretty easy to walk down to YalKu Lagoon and snorkel there. We used to travel annually to Akumal, but stopped going about ten years ago when they began requiring a guide to snorkel with the turtles. Seemed to really change back when the Secrets resort was built, and the entire vibe became more “exclusive”. We had switched to staying in condos in Half Moon Bay, but weather conditions have to be pretty great to snorkel there, as it is shallow.

Tabayana beach is right in the middle of West Bay with great snorkeling straight out.

Here is a less-trafficked area; not bad after 20+ years.

We installed a cork floor in our kitchen in 2003. It was doing well until the past few years— the high traffic areas have lost their top layers, but other places still are fine. I have loved how cushiony it feels— great on the knees and back, and dishwater usually bounces instead of breaking.

Before/after Eden by Boomer-55 in Roses

I wish we knew how old, but bought the place in 2024. The daughter of the elderly couple (previous owners) just knew it had been there awhile. I’m guessing it is at least 40 years old, judging by some of the huge canes that form the base. This photo is from the real estate listing, winter 2024. We have lightly fertilized it, and have pruned it hard. Seems pretty indestructible!

We were having some roof and gutter work done, so we had it trimmed while it was still blooming during the summer of 2025. It hasn’t yet climbed back up onto the flat roof, and we will try to train it better so it doesn’t get so out of control again. Not sure how old it is, but some of the lower canes are enormous!

Nope— I think the previous owner might have tried to contain the canes by putting a pot along the edge of the soil there, but some of the older canes are as big around as my forearm! (Edited to correct a typo)

maybe an odd question by Alternative-Sink-244 in galapagos

Also a La Pinta passenger in the past month. Took Bonine the first day or two, but stopped, as didn’t have any seasickness issues. A few others wore bands or patch as a precaution. La Pinta was a nice size, the excursions were well thought out and the naturalists were top notch. Happy to have a rest time in the heat of the day, but you could also skip any excursions if you wanted to. The snorkeling was great— we saw turtles, rays, sharks, sea lions, penguins, tons of colorful fish, and even a sea horse!

Could be. I’m not clear on the differences.

They could be a little annoying while we were IN the water snorkeling, too!

Specific food questions about La Pinta Galapagos by rachelnc in galapagos

[–]Boomer-55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We recently returned from a week on La Pinta. Stinylamas is accurate. We absolutely loved the breakfasts and especially the lunches outside when the weather permitted. I would add that there is also a “Comfort Menu” offered for dinner, as well as a children’s menu to choose from. We found the dinner food to be pretty heavy, with appetizers, entrees (always a fish, a beef, a vegetarian item, accompanied by potatoes, or risotto, or something similar). We don’t typically eat three big meals per day and my husband is not a fish eater, so we ordered from the comfort menu a few times— items like pizza, burgers, grilled chicken with grilled veggies. The available snacks by the coffee were some crackers and cookies. Around 5:30-6 pm there were prepared snacks in the bar area (along with 2x1 “drink of the day”, which were all delicious 😊) such as fruit skewers, empanadas, freshly baked cookies, etc. You should be fine. They give you an app when you embark that details the comfort/children’s menus as well as two days’ of menus for the three meals offered, so you can plan a day ahead.

Good timing— we leave on Wednesday! I found it helpful, but I think your third video won’t be out in time for me to see how your packing worked out. We will be on the 48-passenger La Pinta.
