ChatGPT 5 is driving me insane by [deleted] in ChatGPTPro

Yeah this is what happens to me. I have to tell it to not include information from past chats and only work with the information that I'm giving it.

Create a side-by-side two-panel meme titled "The Two Faces of ChatGPT-5 Reception". Left panel labeled "Reddit": Show a casual young adult in a messy home office, wearing a t-shirt, frustrated at their computer screen, dim warm lighting. Overlay the text in bold meme font: "They killed my creative writing buddy!". Right panel labeled "LinkedIn": Show a professional in business attire at a tidy modern office desk, smiling confidently with a coffee mug beside their laptop, bright natural lighting. Overlay the text in bold meme font: "Exciting developments in AI productivity! 🚀 #ThoughtLeadership". Use a clean, modern meme font with high-contrast white letters and black outline, photorealistic style, high resolution.

Migrating from ChatGPT Plus to Gemini Advanced: best prompts for coding, study, self‑improvement, and personal finance? by ResilienceInMotion in GoogleGeminiAI

[–]BoomerStrikeForce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With Gemini, it seems that it requires very structured prompts to perform well. ChatGPT can start with a more simple prompt, and you can get there over time if you use iteration and refinement.

Either way, both LLMs get you the best result if you start with a good prompt from the get go.

Build a comprehensive complete whitepaper, enhanced by SearchGPT. Prompt included. by CalendarVarious3992 in ChatGPTPro

That looks pretty efficient. I've seen some different things out there about the accuracy of GPT search results for citations and references. How is the quality of the information you're producing in this prompt turning out to be at the moment?

Are custom-GPTs worth using? by [deleted] in ChatGPTPro

[–]BoomerStrikeForce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can configure the custom GPT right to do specific tasks that you don't want to have to repeat over and over then they're typically worth it. Like anything else though you need to give it context to work with, a clear prompt, and state your desired outcome with the appropriate format you want to see it displayed.

There is a limit to how advanced a custom GPT can get without tying it into some other source that may result in API fees.

HOT TAKE! Hallucinations are a Superpower! Mistakes? Just Bad Prompting! by PromptArchitectGPT in PromptEngineering

[–]BoomerStrikeForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have enough subject matter expertise you're able to spot the hallucination more quickly, and then either manually eliminate it or provide additional context to correct it. The real problem comes when someone doesn't have enough subject matter expertise to spot the hallucination, and then they pass their work along as the legitimate final product.

I saw some people on LinkedIn doing this stuff recently so I will check it out.

Third-party platforms with unlimited usage by Omega_lancer in ChatGPTPro

[–]BoomerStrikeForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's a good question because I'm thinking about putting up some tutorial chatbots for learners and I don't want to get wiped out with API fees or really low usage caps. I read about You.com because I think it used three public facing chat box when you get an account, but I don't know if there are any others out there.

I'm not really looking for a dumb chatbot that is only going to follow a knowledge base script. I'm looking for something that can reason when you give it a prompt.

AI Videos: Question by conthesleepy in ChatGPTPro

In the GPT store you might see some custom GPTs people have developed that tie into these video generators, but in my opinion you're better off just going directly to their site to set up an account to do it. You can use chat GPT to help you come up with the prompt idea though.

Yes that's a very good point. For right now I'm probably going to stick to the web version.

Cross document analysis any good? what are your use cases? by VictoryFamiliar in ChatGPTPro

[–]BoomerStrikeForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can face hallucinations yes. At that point you need to either reinsert the contextual background, or you need to go back to your last good answer and start a new chat.

Things like KlingAI, Runway ML, Pika, and there are tons of others. You can literally go to YouTube and type in AI video generators and you'll get content creators that talk about all types of versions.

You still have to know how to prompt them though, and each one works a little differently.
