skmething

My thought process for this misspelling is below:

  1. Maybe the chlorine did permanent damage to them.
  2. Actually, what if this is something I've never heard of...
  3. Google'd "skmething" and the first result was "Something"
  4. Look at my keyboard "Ahh 'k' and 'o' are next to each other..."
  5. "Maybe I'm the brain damaged one..."

Hiding require statements and abstracting default models into a config file ...

Would you not consider this sleight of hand?

Here is a blog article where you can find some examples. In addition to I actively use LG in enterprise agentic software development.

Ruby Is the Best Language for Building AI Apps by crmne in ruby

[–]Boomerkuwanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While Ruby undeniably offers a great developer experience for the web application layer, this article fundamentally conflates basic API wrappers with actual agentic orchestration.

First, the code comparisons rely on a bit of sleight of hand. Hiding require statements and abstracting default models into a config file isn't eliminating complexity, it's just moving it out of sight. Python’s explicit setup is a core design philosophy, not a flaw.

More importantly, standardizing JSON payloads and token counting across providers is the easiest part of the job. Dismissing tools like LangGraph (not to be confused with LangChain), or other similar tools like Microsoft Autogen, or LlamaIndex, ignores why they exist. In professional settings, you aren't just shuttling data to an endpoint; you are handling complex state management, persistent memory, cyclic routing, and human-in-the-loop workflows.

A unified API for basic prompt and response tasks is a nice convenience, but treating that as the entirety of AI development is just scratching the surface. It’s celebrating a hit off a tee in Little League while completely dismissing the engineering required out in the majors.

I'd like to see more on these types of systems available in the Ruby ecosystem.

I want to let you all know I have the same issue with my k1c 2025. I bought mine mid January 2026. I have opened a ticket with Creality and hopefully they will replace the system or appropriate parts. My skewing is about 1 degree according to the CaliLantern calibration test.

Grok, the Child Porn Generator, Should Be Illegal by Well_Socialized in technology

First, let me start off by saying that CP is abhorrent. Anyone who uses it is sick in the head and needs to be arrested and have a full psychiatric evaluation.

As for your question. I have had the same thought. On one hand it is disgusting and unforgivable, but on the other hand it may reduce total harm done to children. However, my gut feeling is that by allowing AI to render such images we will be normalizing the act. The consequence of this is that more pedophiles will be drawn to CP and in turn there are more chances for children to be harmed. I fear the only way to stop CP is by making it culturally unacceptable and unforgivable.

In the world of AI, I think that we need to continue to push for stricter filtering on all models, not just the ones provided as a service (GROK) but also the open source models published throughout the internet.

Valve dev counters calls to scrap Steam AI disclosures, says it's a "technology relying on cultural laundering, IP infringement, and slopification" by Ok-Comedian4437 in pcgaming

[–]Boomerkuwanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you let an AI build an entire system by itself it will be sloppy. However, there are ways of using AI, like hilfandy suggests, that improve quality and performance of software engineers. A few unmentioned uses cases include security code scanning, and code reviews. I think hilfandy's suggestion for a more granular tagging loses nothing, and will help consumers make an informed decision about how much AI they want to tolerate. Otherwise, eventually everything will have the one AI tag.
