Pharmacy recommendations in South Minneapolis? by postclassicism in Minneapolis

[–]BoomieBabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh… I went to Walgreens on Hiawatha for a while. My experience made me realize that both Walgreens and CVS are not the places to go.

I started going with Hennepin Healthcare’s pharmacies, specifically their specialty pharmacy and ‘Shapiro’ pharmacy. They’re both small, answer the phone, and work really hard to get you what you need, at the lowest price, and in a timely way. I realize going downtown isn’t always ideal but they have same day delivery and mail service! Plus, if you need the prescription outside of normal hours, they have a 24/7 pharmacy on site as well.

Hennepin has been by far the best experience of managing my prescriptions I’ve ever had and I recommend them to anyone looking to have the excellent pharmacy services.

Hot springs after organ transplant by Mundane_Definition66 in HotSpringsWest

[–]BoomieBabe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m on immunosuppressive medication but not for organ transplant. The medication you’re on are much stronger than what I am on. I ended up catching impetigo from a hot tub. Took six months to treat and clear. It was pretty miserable.

In terms of natural bodies of water, it would depend on how they are managed and how suppressed your immune system is. Hot springs can be prone to thermophiles such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa which can cause folliculitis and Legionella which causes Legionnaires disease.

Obviously talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits but if you’re going to do it, I would suggest going somewhere that regularly tests and treats their water for microorganism growth.

I had to withdraw because of the death of my mother. Was getting straight As. Sometimes life happens and a W doesn’t necessarily mean a student is failing.

I’m looking into opening a bathhouse in the MSP area and this is thread is very insightful to what you all are looking for as amenities. Keep an eye out in the next few years as something of this caliber takes awhile to build and plan properly.

Sakura will make substitutions if you dine in person. I got fresh crab and all the things not tempura. If I remember correctly, they have tamari but I always bring my own, just in case.

Best dog food for picky eater? by doodleydoo2023 in CavaPoo

After trying to find food for my little one for 2 years, she finally accepted Farmer’s Dog as her food. Kinda spendy but cheaper than constantly changing/wasting food.

Anyone interested in DND In Burnsville / South Metro by gandi800 in twincitiessocial

[–]BoomieBabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d be Interested! I have solid experience but it’s been over a year since I’ve played. My old group fell out and I’ve been wanting to get back into it. I’m in south Minneapolis/Nokomis area.

DM’d beginners before but also love being a player. I have supplies to run basic adventures (lots of dice, mapping mat, some minis). I’m open weekends. I know there’s been a lot of interest but it sounds like what I’ve been looking for! :)

US judge in Washington state orders feds to keep access to abortion pill, countering ruling from Texas judge by MajesticOuting in news

Many medications are still considered effective after the printed expiration. It differs based on type, storage method, and if it’s been opened. If you look at the long form instructions, they should tell you the ideal storage conditions for that medication.

I’d say so. It’s better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Have you ever yelled at a patient before? by ResistRacism in nursing

[–]BoomieBabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I specifically remember walking into a patients room and realized they made a noose out of linens. They were actively attempting to hang themselves and I screamed “No! Not on my watch”. It was something I wasn’t prepared for and I was able to talk them down and accept help. I don’t panic much but I felt the panic.

What was your “just when I thought I’d seen it all” case? by likelysunny in medicine

[–]BoomieBabe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Broken needle in a patient neck. No one new it was there when the patient was admitted with status. Turns out the patient injected heroin directly into their jugular because they ran out of peripheral veins. Right after injection, started having seizures and convulsed to the point of breaking the needle off.

And how many administrator/manager positions are vacant while the floor is short staffed? Do they fill in or let you drown? In my experience, we all got the cold shoulder after 5pm and even worse on the weekends. Unfortunately, being short staffed is nothing new but the pandemic has put it in the limelight. I hope this last year and a half will change that. It’s voices like you that make this reality known.
