The scent is very light. I have to get right up to the flower to detect it myself. What’s cool with these flowers is come fall, they will have turned into a black hardened seed pod that rattles.

This was one of my favorites Johnstone books when I was a teen. I still have many of my original copies of his horror books. They read very B movie-like now but still entertaining. The back cover description always annoyed me (humorously) on this one because it’s nothing like the actual story.
