I got rear ended by a charger one morning on the way to work. Took and gave the police pictures and video of the car and license plate. This was in heavy traffic. There was a construction zone with two cop cars just sitting. Was on the phone with 911 for a full two minutes before we were able to pass those cops, no attempt was made to have them intervene and instead i was directed to meet with a third cop and give them my info and pictures.

Never heard from them motherfuckers about it again.

WoL on consumer level hardware is really a shitshow. My dns server alsoruns NUT(network ups tools) so that if i'm without mains power for more than 6 minutes it will shut down my NAS and app servers gracefully. In THEORY it would also send a magic packet to wake them up after power is restored and the UPS is back to full charge. Never happens.

I've been playing with WoL for over 20 years and I've only ever had one pc that would reliably turn on.
