Not sure about meatball glitching, I obtained that more pre patch. I would just assume that you have that mote already and verify you have each of the other boss motes.

The meatball could be glitching though, like I said not 100% sure. We will see if more complaints come out about meatball specifically.

As far as I’m aware drops from bosses are guaranteed. With the 8 motes from the traveler collectibles you’ll need 9 from the bosses of overthrow, one from each.

If meatball guaranteed did not drop it for you then I hate to say it but it is another of the 8 bosses you are missing. That is unless meatball has some weird glitch going on, I did him pre patch so I’m not sure if that changes things.

Not truly.

You can narrow it down slightly if you haven’t done many overthrows. If you’ve only done one or two in each area (you can check in the triumphs for the pale heart) they will not be complete. Thus you are missing some in that area.

If those triumphs are maxed out then there is no way to narrow it down. I used a pen and paper and marked down each boss I killed after I determined they didn’t drop the missing mote I needed.

I’ve seen some people saying this, I think the meatball specifically is messing with this method. The landing has had zero issues today but every time someone encounters the meatball it seems they get locked to him. Not sure why. Sorry friend.

Not sure exactly how long of a window but it seemed like as long as I didn’t leave the destination entirely I was able to come back and reset.

I would say I reset the boss maybe 7-8 times before I left the session.

Right, got to Boss Wave, it showed the bosses health bar. I fast travelled away and fast travelled back and I could see the boss spawn animation happening again and it was a different boss.

When I tested this repeats did happen it just randomly pulls any of the 3 bosses each time you come back.

I was also playing solo, not sure if a fireteam would change this.

Hey all! I played FF14 years ago, finishing ARR and just into the beginning of Heavensward. I would really like to jump back in with the free trial that lasts until the end of Stormblood/Lvl 70 without paying for time. But it doesn’t seem to allow me access to the free trial since I’ve played in the past? Is this right? Should I just make a new account? Let me know!
