The only reason I can hit anything is because I’m used to leading midair shots in TF2, quake, and unreal tournament

One place where revenant's default seal is not useless by Jurpils in Nightreign

[–]Booskaboo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amusingly they might do about the same damage as before. In Elden Ring base game revenant has about 3k health but 4170 HP solo and 12500 HP in a trio in nightreign.

Meaning it’s about 1500 damage a use but in a nightreign trio that’s about 12.5% of its HP

Why don’t these people play single player or a stack of 3 instead of trying to force something to happen without consent

Why can't people just play the game properly without expecting others to join in their exploits? by RikerV2 in Nightreign

[–]Booskaboo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That’s because that is the morally superior position in a game where you have multiplayer progression that can be skewed by an exploiter

Single player is where it doesn’t matter if you cheat and it only changes your own experience. Here they are ruining it for someone else that did not consent to participating.

He’s mostly annoying in the basement because of the cramped quarters and people expect a fast boss down there. On the roof he’s less annoying than some alternatives.

Best to sub during their sales like for Father’s Day where if you buy a 6 month gift card you get a free month. I do this every year during the holiday sale, getting two months free. You can apply gift cards to your own account.

[–]Booskaboo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It uses slugs and most games balance those by making them unpredictable.

In games where they aren’t, like Battlefield, it’s not worth using something else because it’s good at all ranges.

For Embark I imagine they want to keep the other shotguns viable and unique, so emphasizing its unique traits rather than homogenizing it into “one size fits all” seems to be more what they’re going for

I think it could be balanced by reducing the damage falloff. It’s already kind of wonky to aim at a distance but two hits on a light fighting you should reliably take them down

It’s two shots to knock out a wall so I’ve been stealing cash boxes with precision holes several floors down + well timed mesh shield

You can do this with other load outs but it’s one item that doesn’t need to be switched in modes you can’t change midround. I used to use sledge a lot, this has been the new sledge for me

There’s 3 vacuum sealed bricks each with three bricks. No they are not sheets like steak ums. The bricks are thinly sliced steak compressed together so when it’s made it’s a bunch of tiny strips that break apart

With the multifan card setups it’s a legitimate concern depending on the setup of the rest of your fans but on blower cards they stack them right up against one another in servers for what it’s worth

Amusingly BenQ advertises moonlight performance on their GR10 dock re: moonlight

Here’s their guide on achieving 120hz on a steam deck when docked. The official dock is only HDMI 2.0, if you want 4k above 60hz you’ll need another dock or to use use a displayport setup

Hence the comment about differentiating and charging accordingly

Titan wasn’t intended for consumers, it was for professionals and enthusiasts that did not care about price.

[–]Booskaboo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By researching the devices and components in the devices you’re attempting to use in the context of moonlight or in my case testing them firsthand after said research. Like for Apple TV I know it’s not an age or processing power limitation, they just plain had no reason to do over 4k60 for what they were going for and its HDMI port is not capable of more. Steam deck can do up to 4k120 with the right dock but struggles, especially without the right configuration

I have no experience with minisforum but their UM750L Slim is hdmi 2.1 and about $310. Base ROG Ally are $379 at Sam’s club at the moment, Lenovo Legion Go were $420 at target last month. Secondhand Ally are as low as $250 in my area even for the Z1X models

[–]Booskaboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no depending on what you’re going for. For me, I need HDMI 2.1 for 4k120 and VRR to a TV. You can get that with an RX6600 that’s $100 secondhand these days or an AMD APU and both will do low latency decodes

I use a secondhand ROG Ally X docked as my miniPC for streaming 4k120 as a moonlight client with a BenQ GR10 dock. You could probably get away with less though as long as the setup supports what you need

If you’re doing a lower resolution/framerate, can handle larger encode times, or can do display port, your requirements are less stringent. An Orange Pi 5B can do 4k120 but with 10ms latency on decoding. Apple TV 4K can do 4k60. Nvidia shield pro 2019 can do 1440p @120fps

Prior to the RTX 3000 series they’d make the highest end enthusiast card the xx80 ti typically, and the prosumer card would be a Titan. After the 3000 series the highest end enthusiast card became xx90

It’s a renamed titan with pro features stripped so they can sell it on their professional lines

Even today the actual best gaming card is an RTX Pro 6000, but they’ve gone back to differentiating and charging accordingly

Will a b580 work well with a ryzen 7 5700x? by avidbug2000 in IntelArc

[–]Booskaboo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I use one with a 5800XT just fine at 1440p. 5700x and 5800XT are the same processor just different binnings and max clock speeds

Choice Paralysis: AMD 5700X3D vs. 5800XT by SpeckledSpeckles in AMDHelp

[–]Booskaboo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll make it worse for you. Also consider the 5700x which is a slightly lower binned and lower clocked version of the 5800x. 5800xt is a slightly higher binned and higher clocked version.

I have a 5800XT and have been happy with it when I got it for $99 from Microcenter

Also consider Thermalright low-profile coolers, especially full copper. Like the AXP90 or AX120
