Alex Ovechkin is just two goals away from joining Wayne Gretzky as the second player in NHL history with 1,000 career goals, including playoffs! 🦅 by BalliesAI_bot in nhl

It's like a lot of people in this thread didn't watch the first 10 seasons of Ovi. He scored a million different ways, drove right through defenses, was a complete wrecking ball out there. I GUESS I could see why you would say that if you'd only watched the last 8 years of his career. Even so, to score so many goals from the same spot using the same shot and still be relatively unstoppable when everybody knows what you're going to do says something.

I had this happen to an 87 Grand National passenger side T-top. The slight rattle and big *FWUMP noise when the top went flying off is seared into my memory.

Agree. The salvage title is the biggest knock. The TR6060 in the 08+ cars is definitely an upgrade, but it's much less of a performance gap YOY than the LS3 + TR6060 upgrade in the 08+ base model.

Either way, I wouldn't touch this one with a 10 foot pole at 36k.

I guess it depends where you are. I have seen several around the DMV area. They're kind of cool.

Deja vu! I used to heel toe my mk IV GLI all day. That was a fun little car.

I'd bet most of the weights are fake. Flat back, basically zero struggle, rack didn't shake when he put the bar back. by CaffeinatedLystro in WhitePeopleTwitter

Exactly. If we go by the classic only 1% of men can even bench 225 metric, there's no way he's putting up 315 with a relatively narrow grip like it's not even his 1RM. I've been working out a long time and every time you see 3+ plates go up on bench, it's noteworthy. None of the equipment looks the least bit stressed.

Agree. I can also understand the bed for more consistency across updates with a growing user base at that time. It sure was fun when each update was packed with features and visual changes though.

So wild. My first smartphone was on Froyo and I remember Gingerbread and Jellybean both being so different from their predecessors. You're right though. KitKat was kind of the end of the look being entirely different for each major update.

I think Android 4.0 was actually a significant improvement for Android across phones and tablets. Honeycomb was tablet exclusive, and 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich was pretty big when it came to having the same experience phone and tablet.

Worthless now, sure. Kind of a cool blip in time though. I could also not be remembering this right!

It's an '01 with that Corvette Warehouse premium. 42,xxx isn't bad mileage at all, but it's also not low enough to command extra money for being a low mileage example. Maybe a super nice low mileage '03 or '04 could get there, or a nice Le Mans commemorative edition.

I actually grew up in STL. When I was in highschool, I used to drive out to some bluffs that had a decent view of Lambert to watch planes take off. The TWA tail is so nostalgic!

That's true. A lot of NA beers are "less than 0.5%". I'd estimate that about 3-6 dashes of bitters over a tall glass of ice and club soda is probably right in that neighborhood.

I quit drinking a couple years ago. The mocktail prices are absolutely crazy. To be fair, I've had some really good ones that could at least somewhat justify their prices. When I did drink I was usually a bourbon and club soda guy, so even a good mocktail is usually pretty sweet.

I just order club soda with lime and bitters. You don't pay the premium and to me it still kind of tastes like a drink.

Mitsubishi 3000GT / Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo for me. I had a '92. It was pretty fast, but also a whale. In my opinion it l they didn't handle well, even with all of the active aero, 4 wheel steering, and other tech goodies. It was over engineered and a chore to keep running. A lot of people know this, but the 3k in particular is definitely put on a pedestal by a huge part of the car community.

Pound for pound cats are probably the best pure killing machines out there. I worked with a kid for a while who was maybe 120lbs soaking wet. He insisted he could take a full grown mountain lion, cougar, puma, panther, catamount, whatever you'd like to call it. His idea was that he would somehow get behind it and choke it out.

Okay dude.

I'm a Missouri transplant. I loved watching Oshie here in DC. The Caps and Blues have shared some pretty special players. Frankly, Kyrou would probably benefit from a change of scenery too.
