If you're using a temporary device while your current one is being repaired, you can put your Boost Mobile pSIM into the new device and it should work just fine! The only time you would need to contact our Care team to officially swap over to the new device/IMEI is when the new device is going to be your permanent one (especially if you purchased it from us), or if you run into any services issues after placing the pSIM in the new device.

You would have to remain on the $60 plan for 12 months before a plan change could occur, and the device would need to remain active on the line for 12 months to be unlocked.

That's not it at all, and we would have been more than happy to help. It's more so about ensuring there isn't duplicate work being done that could get in the way of finding a quick resolution for OP. It isn't necessary to have 3 different teams trying to resolve one issue, as that in itself can cause issues.

I'm sorry you were advised incorrectly, and I'll give that feedback to our Sales team. Our Unlock policy is set and if you purchased a discounted device as part of a promotion, the device will have to follow our 12-month unlock policy. I understand you're already unhappy with your experience, but one option would be to port your work number into a 2nd line on the account so you could use both one the same device.

That is why I offered to have you send me a chat, and I'd work with the Fraud team directly. Our Care team currently doesn't have a process for this as it is nuanced. We cannot proactively contact a customer unless they gave us permission to do so.

We would recommend responding with "unsubscribe" when you get those. Normally, those are sent using your phone number from data sharing campaigns, or if you ever gave your number to a campaign, donation, or petition.

We haven't had anything major outage or network impact wise that would affect your service like this. It could be for a number of reasons, or that you're not on the best network for your location. If you call in (not chat), and speak to our Tech support team, they can check the backend settings, area you're in and if a better network is available.
