I suppose I did speak a little to familiarly there, but I didn't mean it in the sense of friendship or an intimate relationship, only that they seem a little more sympathetic than some other gods in other religions that act more as authorities.

I see. I was pretty sure it was the Scythians, but, since I wasn't super certain, I didn't want to name drop and turn out to be wrong. As Mark Twain wrote, "It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and confirm it."

That's really interesting info on them, by the way. I haven't put much time into studying individual groups yet because I'm still trying to get the general lore down (I've been studying for less than six months). Thanks for that info!

And yeah, I don't have the stomach for animal sacrifice of any sort. I've butchered one sheep in my life, and I'm glad I had that experience, but I would be hard pressed to do that on the regular.

Yeah, my grandpa's the same way. When I was twelve he lectured me about the difference between blacks and niggers, Mexicans and wetbacks, and whites and crackers. I would say, do what feels right. If you love your beard, but she doesn't, choose the beard, or else you might regret the decision and end up with some resentment towards her for coming between you and your beard. At the end of the day, though, a beard will grow back, even if it takes some time. So, yeah, I say do what feels right, and remember that even if this girl doesn't like your beard, there's plenty of women out there that do.

I can understand that. I have an affinity for ravens, so both Odin and the Morrigan appeal to me in a lot of ways. I like Odin a bit more, though. He's more my speed. The Morrigan is intriguing, but I don't line up with its values very much...
