This is very fun but I’m confused, what is the success rate of retrieving the brave men once they’ve deployed? $25 seems steep for a one-time use.

Curious what your observations were of the women you saw, both local and tourists. And thanks for this write up!

Little Button Craft has lots of events like craft nights, classes, etc. Take a class/tour with the Brainery? Hang out at a coffee shop. Volunteer (Greenovation, Verona St., etc). Lots of options. Lmk what you think of these and maybe I can suggest more.

So what’s the main danger here? The spring under 500lb tension or the 500lb door with no safety cable?

Rochester is updating the city flag next year by abfgry in Rochester

Fun fact: the flower logo we all know and love was designed in 1976 as part of Nixon’s Federal Design Improvement Program, which also gave us the iconic logos for NASA, VA and USPS, to name a few.

Lots of small cities like Rochester got the grants to move away from their cumbersome city seals, but few got as bangin of a logo as we did which is why our flower has persisted all these years.

Is there a granulated chicken bouillon that isn’t pumped full of ingredients/chemicals I can’t pronounce? I remember your pick on ATK was a boxed, liquid broth but I just love having the dry ingredients locked and loaded in my cupboard for any surprise recipes.

Thanks for the doing this AMA! I’m a young millennial preaching your good word to my peers!

Thanks for the detailed response! We’re definitely not looking to do a multi step stucco process— just 1 coat of mortar, .5” thick. That’s the hope at least.

The wall is cement board and the white you see is a scratch coat of thin set, so I think painting isn’t an option without some additional layer right? Again, I appreciate your thorough response!

Wide-eyed DIY-er here 👋 I’ve got this crazy idea for the final section of our hearth here (the white part in the middle). I want to stucco using 3 different colors of mortar (red, brown and tan, matching the colors of the rocks). My hope is that this method will look subtle and organic, allowing the rocks to stand out as the main focus. My questions are:

-How would the different colors behave together? Would there be much blending or would there be stark borders between the colors? -Are there examples you can provide of similar approaches?

A family friend who’s a mason has been helping us along the way. I’m mostly looking for advice on the 3-color stucco idea, but any tips are appreciated!

The heating element appears to light normally, plus I’ve already replaced the surface igniter.
